What makes travelling to different quanta hard?

We all know that it's hard to travel to a world that is on a different quantum level from homeline, and impossible to travel to one that is three or more quanta away, but what makes that the case? Is it harder in a physical way, in that it's harder to climb Everest than it is to walk down Hollywood Boulevard? Is it a matter of finding co-ordinates?... more »
