In the Orichalcum Universe, this is a character advantage available
(with GM consent) to characters of Earth ancestry who live in any of
the time settings _after_ the Downfall of Atlantis and the Recovery.
Only a member of the species _H. sapiens_ or a hybrid Homosentient of
_H. sapiens_ parentage. The advantage is hereditary and can not be
gained during play, one either has the right sort of ancestors or one
does not.
Atlantean Blood means that a character has a biological ancestor of
the subspecies _H sapiens atlanticus_. Immediate ancestry in this
context means parent or grandparent. Any offspring of a normal _H.
sapiens_ and a member of _H. sapiens atlanticus_ automatically has the
Atlantean blood advantage. A grandchild of such a mixed union may or
may not have the advantage.
For a second generation offspring of such a union, roll 1d, on a 1 or
a 2 result the individual as the advantage. If two grandparents were
_H. sapiens atlanticus_, then 1 1-3 result gives the advantage. A
third generation offspring has no chance of the advantage as such and
is counted a normal _H. sapiens_.
The Atlantean Blood advantage confers the following benefits:
Automatically possesses the Empathy advantage
Automatically possesses _either_ Danger Sense or Intituion (roll 2d,
2-6 the character has Danger Sense, 7-11 the charachter has Intuition,
on a 12 character has _both_)
Roll 1d, on a '5' or a '6' the character has the Longevity advantage
2 levels of Extra Fatigue
Character is psionically inclined, all psionic Powers cost 1 pt less
per level.
Along with these advantages come a downside:
Low fertility: Roll 1d, on a '1' or a '2' character will be sterile.
Otherwise fertility is normal.
Cursed (Curse of the Atlanteans applies to character)
>
> Character is psionically inclined, all psionic Powers cost 1 pt less
> per level.
Addendum: Psions with PK also get a doubling of their basic range.
Additional addendum: If a character with the Atlantean Blood
advantage mates with a full member of _H. sapiens atlanticus_, the
offspring will be considered a member of the _H. sapiens atlanticus_
subspecies.
