Through a series of humorous events a dear friend has dubbed me the
Bear-Elf. Which got me thinking, in game terms, what is a Bear-Elf. I
don't associate elves with bears. Humans sure. Even half-orcs, orcs or
dwarves. But not elves. I associate them with avians or lithe land
animals like stags. So, what is a Bear-Elf?

I can't help but think of Inglorious Bastards "Bear-Jew".

With that in mind, I would think an unusually large and violent Elf.

Tauric Black Bear - Wild Elf Druid/Ranger. Medium-size monstrous
humanoid. 4d8 racial + class levels. "A Wizard did it" with a reincarnation
spell. Angsty creature lives a contemplative life in the woods, protecting
small bears from rapacious adventurers through lectures on peace and the
expert use of exotic asian-themed weapons.
