[pbem] *Fast Paced* Fantasy Game Opening!!!

I plan to start running pbem game some time around June 10th. In the
meantime, I'd like to start to get the players together, develop
characters etc. I'm currently running a game already, so the new one
can't start until my school schedule eases off a bit.

The game is based on what is essentially my own rules system, although
it is derived from AD&D 2nd Ed. rules. Character generation is
largely the same as normal AD&D, as is spellcasting. Everything has
changed, particularly combat and level-advancing. Experience with
AD&D is not necessary, as I will handle all of the paperwork: your
only job will be to breath life into your character!

Two things will be required to play in my game:

1: you MUST be willing to take a very 'normal' character, and make it
interesting through role-playing. There are *NO* special powers,
races, abilities, etc allowed to players (read: no psionics). In
fact, when the first PC's were created in my other game, they were
restricted to being either human or half-elven, and they were all from
a very small logging town. Many people turned down my offer to join
the game because of these restrictions: the people that agreed to the
terms created very involved character histories, detailing who in town
was a friend, who they hated, relationships with extended family, what
was expected of them, and what they *really* wanted etc. They are the
BEST, most interesting characters I've ever seen!

2: (this one's a bit simpler). You have to have daily access to
email. If you can't check your mail at least once a day, you will
simply not be able to keep up. When things get exciting, it's not
unusual for someone to post in the morning, get a response (from me)
in the afternoon, then make another move in the evening. (I check my
mail sometimes half dozen times in a day, and no less than twice a
day.)


What this all comes down to is this: if what I've described sounds
interesting, and you're willing to spend the next little while
hammering out a really nice character background, get in touch.
*Please* do not start on a description right now, as I'll have a set
of limitations similar to what I've described above.
