Broadcast-Only Diplomacy and Other Games Forming on USAK

Diplomacy in general, and broadcast only games in particular, have a
high expectation of frequent and meaningful communication. All public
games on USAK are carefully monitored to prevent duplicate positions,
collusion and other forms of cheating.
The game kdip0004 on USAK is a broadcast only game that allows both
signed and anonymous press. Because there is no private press, the game
is gunboat - meaning that the identities of the players are not
disclosed to eachother while the game is in progress. Broadcast only
Diplomacy is recommended for players who have previously played
Diplomacy online or by post and would like an additional challenge.
First time Diplomacy players are welcome to join the currently forming
novice game - ns000042 as of this posting. Players who have enjoyed
Diplomacy before but who have not played in a time expanded format may
want to consider a game that permits private press, like gp000004.

A player who uses the "Signon" at the top of any page of the USAK site
will be taken to the game lists. Clicking on "join" after a game name
in the "Forming Games" column will take you to a mostly completed order
form for joining the game. If you have read Step 7 of the guide before
this point then you will already know that you you need to add the word
" gunboat" on the signon line after your password and that this is your
chance to submit a preference list.
