Clarification.
If you execute the combo do you draw the cards from the life you "gained" by
the mirror universe?

And can a person respond to a mirror univers by casting a lich?

Cheers

No you can't cast in response to it, but you can use it with mirror
universe to make an EVIL combo
Cast Lich your hp is 0. Cast mirror universe. opponent's hp is now 0.
You win.

As an instant he Disenchants the Lich.
You lose.

Despite this seemingly awesome combo, I still don't like playing the
Lich. One good shot with a Chaos Orb and you doy. Albeit that you can
do some pretty neat things with Lich, Greed, Personal Incarnation, etc,
it would take a black/blue deck to do it.
It might be kind of fun making a deck revolve around a Lich, but it
probably wouldn't be a consistently winning deck.

Yes. If you have to draw too many cards and your library runs out, you
lose immediately, before your opponent would lose due to having 0 life.

No, because Lich is a Sorcery, which can't be cast in response to anything,
and can't be cast during upkeep, anyway. (I'm assuming you meant responding
to the use of Mirror Universe.)

Er, grunt. I know it's been a while since I've played the game, but
I'm *pretty* sure, at least, barring any changes in card texts that
took plast in the last month, that Lich is an enchantment. 'Course,
it's kinda moot, since you still can't cast it in response to
anything.

Anyway, I brought up this combo about a week or two ago. In a way,
yes, you could "respond" with a Lich, if I remember the card text
of MU correctly. (I'm assuming it's untappable until its caster's
next upkeep, correct?) If so, then you could cast the ol' Lich
on the turn after your opponent's; I reckon he or she wouldn't
care to tap the MU after that. :-)
