You might also want to try the following books (all of which are available at Amazon.com):
* Phoenix: The Fall and Rise of Video Games * High Score!: The Illustrated History of Electronic Games * Supercade : A Visual History of the Videogame Age 1971-1984 * The Ultimate History of Video Games * Game Over: Insert Coin to Continue
* High Score!: The Illustrated History of Electronic Games * The Ultimate History of Video Games
I just finished reading "The Ultimate History of Video Games" and am now reading the "High Score" Book.
I found "THOVG" a bit repetative at times, when quoting someone and than using the same quote in the same page. Both other than that it was a great book to read and a lot of background info I didnt know about. There is a total of maybe 4 pages in the middle of the book that contains pictures.
Since I have both books, it was great to first read "THOVG" than now reading High Score (which has tons of pictures), I have a reference of the consoles/arcades that "THOVG" was talking about.
