fishing pole is equiped in left hand (like shield) but shows in right hand.
ps. it also raises parrying if you fight with it in your hand
Hmmm.....I thought the hand where the weapon appears depends on the
direction your character icon is facing.  It always amuses me to see my
figure swap shield and sword with a slight twist of his body.

time. you just equip the mace and use the fishing pole from 
your open backpack.
