Woke up this morning and decided to take a stoll out front of my cabin on Fire
Island. I couldn't believe my eyes, there was a cow mooing at my front step. I
then took a leasurely walk and found regs on the ground, sheep, panthers,
wolves, bears, goats, and a wandering healer to boot. I had to run back to see
if it was MY Cabin I woke up at on Fire Island. The island has seem to come
alive again.

There were some creatures on testcen's fire isle IIRC.
I just hope no monsters other than the temples, its just too much of a
deathtrap, requiring a stuck option use to get back when dead and alone.

Really? Fire Island on Atlantic has a permanent moongate to/from Moonglow
island. It's over near the northeast side of the island, just below the
mountain.

Probably atlantic specific.
Nujelm on europa has a moongate complete with ring, but I dont think all
shards have that one.
My house on fire isle is right near that spot I think (its the shop that
Ice first owned when starting europa).

I just went over to Europa to check, and you're right--neither Tram nor
Felucca has the Fire Isle gate. (Come to think of it, I don't know if
Atlantic has it on Trammel side.)

I know about the Nujel'm gate; Atlantic has that as well. It's very
sparsely populated, as it's not on the moongate lists (and before the
moongate lists the other gates wouldn't cycle to it), and it's way the hell
out on the far side of the island.

As far as I know, it's specific to Atlantic.

It's also not the only Atlantic-only gate.

The Britain Library has a red moongate on the 2nd floor (Felluca only) that
leads to the Lyceum on Verity Isle. It's a one way gate though... there is
no gate on the Moonglow side.

But both Trammel and Felucca *do* have a shrine that you can use to come
back to life. So at least you're not COMPLETELY stuck. Just carry a runebook
on you with charges and you're set.

Lol, I live there and I've made the ghostly trip to Humility a few times, if
I was a guest on the island I wouldn't think of it.

Large Beasties ? Gazers ? On Europa Fire Island ?

I gotta get out more, I've missed all this stuff hanging about Humility
somehow.

Seriously though, I agree. Relying on shrines in heavy spawn zones is a
risky business and not something to be done lightly. In my experience of
Humility though, very little spawn gets out of the temple past the tamers
and glory hunters.
