The GM sent a monster to kill you because you called him for no reason.
I can see no harassment in just following someone. This can be done
all in-game and in-char. Next time call the GM only if you really need
him, think about others who are in serious trouble and really need help
and have to wait longer because of all the senseless GM calls.

If a GM did do this, I think he needs his hide tacked to a wall. Kind of
inbalanced justice where a person that IS doing something really wrong gets
tossed in jail. Why not kill him and let the bystanders loot his body?

Of course, if a GM really did this (if the story happened like told there
is no other explanation) it was an overreaction, but GMs are only normal
human beings like everyone. Imagine you are GM and from 100 calls you get
99 have no reason like someone just following another (there was no verbal
harassment), you would perhaps be pissed enough to smack down #99. I have
seen people calling GM for no reason often ("a monster killed me, I want
my shit back", "pLaT3d00d killed me I want my stuff back", "why can't
I dye my undies", "I just lost .1 magery u all at OSI are stupid"...)

What?! If this is true, then the GMs are even worse than all the
spoiled brats we get in the game!

Sounds like a 'polymorphed' GM..

>So what the hell happened???

A GM who simply had enough stupid calls for the day 'polymorphed' into a
Balron and killed you
(a deserved end if I may add..)

If it all happened like you said (your corpse was blue, you were right
inside the guarded zone, not close to the guard zone border) there is no
other explanation..
Balrons usually don't spawn in guarded areas and inside guarded areas the
other guy can't summon any daemons..

><yawn> Your stupidity is showing. Again </yawn>
darn...plonked again..
Sorry, nice story you told us here...with just a little flaw..you said you
couldn't give a murder count and that you were blue....therefore his buddy
couldn't have sent a Balron to kill you which is your really smart
explanation of what happened...
liar? troll? *shrugs*
(ohh and guards appear when you shout for them as ghost when you have been
attacked and killed...(not when you get looted though...))
If you only tell 10% of a story then don't judge people who try to explain
the situation..

*sigh*...I forgot rule #1 again
Never argue with idiots..They drag you down to their level and then beat you
with the experience they got there.

I still miss a smart explanation for the fact that you couldn't give a
murder count..
you will find one, for sure..
ohh..and guards appear if you get killed with one blow and shout guards

You should earn your money writing fairy tales..not trolls..

Then perhaps you can explain why he writes such stupid things?
Sorry, everytime I read the thread I imagine some guy going to the police
saying he was robbed ten seconds ago 5 miles away and when the policeman
asks how it can be possible to travel 5 miles in ten seconds the guy shouts
something like 'corrupt police - plonk' and goes away...

>You're the obnoxious thief right?

thief..yes..obnoxious depends on who you ask

just another note:
I know that he is a regular and so I thought he knows what he writes and
that I can rely on the fact that he tells everything which is important...
If he only writes half of the story and then expects other people to guess
what happenend, then tells the rest of the story and complains about the
only possible answer to his 50% story and starts plonking those people....

THAT is sad..

very lucky...
an experienced player who hangs around the guard border zone and doesn't
realize it...
a flaw in the server that didn't allow him to report the friend for murder..
the guy would earn millions with gambling..

*shrugs*..
I have expressed my opinion about that story and therefore I think we can
end the thread..

Instead of senseless babbling and using the same phrases over and over,
you should try to explain what you mean.

Offhand, I woulda guessed killer-GM's too, like some of the others ...

**** BUT ****

A level 5 treasure map or a Seer run quest will cause Balrons to be
spawned. I betcha this PK knew about the spawn and was just trying to
lead you to your insta-death.

Getting killed inside the guard-zone is a fluke ... but there are some
circumstances where this can happens. ESPECIALLY IF THE MONSTER FIRST
TARGETS YOU OUTSIDE THE ZONE. Your ghost can call guards, btw ... I
hope you ran back and forth in/out of the guard zone and tried this
while the jerk looted you.

Perhaps because he doesn't write only for you..
He could use email then and there would be no necessarity to post something
to a newsgroup...
what does newsgroup mean? news and group...You think he really cares if you
read his posts or not? Perhaps you need some kind of acknowledgement for
what you post...He posts to tell his opinion, if you read it or not doesn't
matter because there are others who read it...If you really think the ng is
nothing more than the 20-30 regulars....

(Imagines a guy at the bank shouting 'You are an asshole - Don't reply I
have filtered you' over and over..Can you imagine what all other people at
the bank think???...You really want to talk about IQ??)

That was not a good answer..
