yeha, but that takes literally hours to get 10K boards :(

You can build magery and a bunch of other skills at the same time tho,
especially since you hop from town to town. It's definitely easier to buy
lumber, but if you're building other skills kill two birds with the same
stone.

using skills solely for the sake of raising them to be boring as hell.
My fighter char will soon get GM in musicianship, provoke and parry,
all just from playing, no macroing at all :) :)
For the boards, I like to decorate the town while talking to PC's
around the bank, so it's nice to have all the boards in advance (Once
lined half the fence around Moonglow with wooden benches - looked very
cool :)

and...it is 3-4 gold / board...not 5...its on Atlantic its worth more...
the pity is once i find something good enugh to sell its useless...

How often do vendors respawn with more items?

Every 20-30 minutes, the vendor will respawn their inventory. If they've
sold out of an item they will add nine of that item to the next spawn.
Starts at 10, goes to 19, then 27, 36, 45, etc. Within a couple of hours
they are selling 50+ usually.
With wood, it's easy to get the spawn up quite high, since there are 20+
tinkers and carpenters on each shard. Stuff like leather is harder to build
up, becuase there are -10 furriers.

My pleasure, though given the popularity of wood these days on Drach, I
*highly* doubt you'll only get 4gp/board. I've bought 10,000 boards for as
high as 6gp ea, simply because I wouldn't miss the gold and it was convenient
as heck to get that much lumber in one fell swoop :)
(And I've been outbid on three other auctions last week for 5000 boards, as
well, so you'll make some gold off this, easily :)

You'll sell easily. Just got the email from uo-auction saying I was outbid on
5000 boards for 21K gold, high bid is now 25K :)
