Lets say I have an orc mask (blessed). Can someone destroy it?
Like a mad guy with mace in his hand or something :O

Most clothing items can be worn out in battle.
Usually its the outer layer (though I havent had a deathrobe go on me yet!)
so shirts and such should be safe unless you are a mage wearing one on its
own and it takes a battering.
Helmets wear out too - so that would include an orc mask I think.

The game actually applies hits to various parts of your body, but
unfortunately doesnt show it. Thats the reason for AR to show strangely.
Trousers on their own might be ar 1, whilst a d-robe may be 2 on its own,
but wearing both together might still only give 2 ar.
Thats because each item has a bodypart AR, which will block a certain
number of points for that part, but also a "body" AR which goes towards the
total AR, which is used when you are hit all over. Parrying adds to the
total AR, but its only taken into account if you successfully parry a blow.

For example, being hit on the head might be blocked by a helmet of AR 2,
though a hit to the body, that part of armour might only block .5
Its a bit complicated, but normally the average AR listed is a fair guide.

I was always under the assumption that the highest rating AR piece was
the one that wore out first.. thus clothes last along time.

Not always true I think.
It depends on the armours own durability - which doesnt necessarily link to
its AR, unless of course, its AR is reduced at new due to repairs, in which
case its durability will be too.

mmmkay... that would be kinda stupid to lose an orc mask worth 150-200k in
a battle :/

To add to that a bit. As long as you are wearing armor under your clothing,
your clothing takes no damage. So you could have a blessed dress, and as
long as you were careful to always wear some sort of chest armor, your dress
will never lose hp. You are kinda screwed with headwear though, like an orc
mask, since you cannot wear helmets under them. Mages that avoid getting
beat up can get away with wearing blessed masks for quite a while (months),
but eventually it will be destroyed. They don't last long on warrior types
at all.
