Just a few things I'd like in a perfect rougue-friendly world :)

1. Some kind of a message when people actually see you snoop.

2. Snooping while hidden not revaling you.

3. That there be line of sight restrictions for people being able to see you
stealing. Getting caught by guards in another room is ridiculous.

4. Removal of the automatic guard kill if stealing items over such and such
a weight (cant remember the exact - 2 stones?)

5. More rare items to hunt for to make it a bit interesting. With only pure
rogues having all the skills necessary to get the items.

6. While the disguise kit is a fantastic idea, having a NPC name
automatically flags you as a thief to other players. How about being able to
choose own name?

7. No steal-newbiefied items. Loot newbified would be ok. Players should not
be rewarded for being lazy. There are many ways to stop yourself from being
stolen from.

8. More information about the relative benifits of being GM in rogue skills.
And if there are no extra special benifits (besides more of a chance of
being succesful), how about coding some in?

Well snooping while hidden was supposed to be included in the last patch but
it doesn't work. Because of this I think snooping is a useless skill. I am
letting it atrophy.

Good idea.

There are some risks involved and it should stay that way.

Stealing from someone while in another room is ridiculous.

Would that mean more anti-social behaviour around banks?

Would that mean more items to carry around for others? Or ghost items only
there when stealing? Still, it seems rather complicated to implement.

Doesn't the spell Incognito allow you to choose your name when high enough
in Magery?

Having a shirt a kilt and a newbie sword (so as not to gain wrestling) when
you get resurected is lazy? Or did you mean something else?

Thieves running around dungeons and stealing magic swords from warrior's
hands is IMO a great advantage.
