1. The snow-bug.. the screen gets bugged and (I think) fails to refresh
when "It starts to snow". This bug has taken my life and has caused vile
PK's to live where they should have died.

2. The Translation-server-bug is even as frustrating as nr. 1. The only
solution right now seems to be to turn off the transserv and restart UO.
But why should we live with a bugged transserv?? Throw it out or fix it!
Then to think that they even promote sales of T2A with this "great"
translation utility! I haven't seen a single translated line since I
bought the T2A-package a few months ago!

Fero..

ps. yes I posted these also on the U.Hall at Stratics, but to get it
fixed you probably need some attention :)

Well, mister van Dam, you got the same problem as the rest of us rifraf that
doesn't speak a 'common' language. You're Dutch, I'm Flemish, we both have a
Dutch speaking W95/98/NT. And since the translation server takes the
Language code of our W95/98/NT as our 'speaking' language, the translator is
totaly useless to us because there are no Dutch/xxxx, xxxx/Dutch language
pairs. You CAN set a line in the config file to have English (or any other
of the supported languages) as your speaking language, but every time you
speak Dutch (or any other language for that matter) it comes out as total
crap to anyone else with a translator. Turning the translator off, seems not
to work well, so the best solution is just to rename the translator's
exe-files. In case of a failing patch, you have to rename them back of
course, but that is the only solution to us Dutch / Swedish / Norwegian /
Danish / Finish / Icelandic / Hungarian .....etc...and so on.... out there.

Well... I have the same problem, while I have an Englisch w98.
Sometimes, people doesn't even see me talk at all... :(

btw Fero; Use UO-assist and filter the snow away, that would help solving
bug 1....

Well, your at the different end of the problem! When people can't hear you,
it is the receiving translator (in auto mode) that is not translating your
message because it can't find the language pair! And if you have your
translator is on auto, it tries to translate any message it receives, even
those from those that have no language pairs. (Mmmm, am I making any sense?)
Example: you have your translator on auto and a Dutch person says something.
your translator gets the Dutch_at_the_other_end_flag and tries to find the
Dutch_to_English data file. There is none! So an error message is given,
sometimes hanging the computer or just shutting down UO.
Strange thing with people not hearing you is....they CAN hear your macro's!!
So make up a macro telling people that can't hear you to switch off
automatic translation.

I just imagine someone who macroes 'If you can't hear me, turn the
translator off'...which nobody does, because you can hear him..(his macro)

Damn.. would I really be forced to use UO Assist? Just to solve UO's own
bugs?

*geez*

Oh yes, and you can filter these damn sounds crashing your client if
you have a soundblaster...

Ebolt sound in combination with some others, try opening a pack
and cast ebolt at the same time, you have a good chance of crashing.
(That's why it always happens in combat).

Anyone remember the "you are already casting" spell bug? Ahh. UOA
fixed that many many months before OSI did.

Maybe the real unbalancing factor of UOA isn't last target, or
arm/disarm, but the fact that a UOA user doesn't have to put up will
all the bugs that a non-UOA user has to. (but there are still enough
bugs even for a UOA user)
