OK, how about making the guy with the halberd stand still while he
swings too? That way, you could still chop up the mindless monsters
attacking you in a dungeon & cleaning up on loot, but you won't be able
to take advantage of lag to run in front of my bowyer to block him while
attacking all the while? Ditto for every other weapon in the game, make
them all like magery. Of course, auto combat would be a problem with you
constantly be frozen while you take your swing, but at least it would be
equal. My mage was taking on a drake last night & the damn "you are
frozen & can not move" messages while being fireballed kept me wishing I
had anyone but a mage.
This would also give non PvP players a chance to run. As it is now,
connection speed is more important then just about any other factor. You
would think a character with 90 dex could outrun anybody in heavy plate
no matter what weapon they use. Certainly I would notice someone cocking
their halberd over their head & take a few steps back. I imagine it
would be pretty difficult for anyone to swing a halberd while running at
speed too.

Ive done archery. Its hard enough hitting targets, let alone when its a moving
target, let alone when its coming at you and you have ONE shot (I havent done
the last one I'm very glad to say - I'm guessing its harder tho).
