Hi,
Does anyone know who killed Sheepdog on the Europa Shard?
I had heard a rumour that he had been killed, and his name has
vanished from the top of the 'Most Wanted' list.
Has anybody actually killed this 7xGM or has one of his buddies killed
him for the reward on the head?
I think it stood at about 120k.
Lastly, if you know who did kill him, do you know if the head was
cashed in or if it's on display in a house somewhere? :)

PS. If the killer of Sheepdog is reading this group.
If you fancy killing a red by the well original name of 'Sepiroth' who
hangs around the Northern Forests, North of Vesper (Almost bloody next
door to me) then please feel free :)
Actually, I'll put a nice reward on it, I'm fed up of that 'dude'
killing me after I've taken down an Ord horde and I'm a little worse
for wear.

I think the bounty was closer to 300k, and if he has
been killed and the bounty collected, I would be
suprised if it were not one of his friends that did it.

I think I've met you before when I was having a scuffle with the gent in
question, tough guy isn't he? I especially like the way he fires explosions
at you when you're inside your house and have hidden/cast invisibility on
yourself before his name has even come onscreen :) Oh, and the Para-all
kill-para-all kill-para-all kill combo with two demons in tow was a
refreshing change from the Para/e-bolt/e-bolt/e-bolt combo we normally see,
and quite a bit harder to defend against. Unfortunately, every time I've got
into a fight with him, I've tried to use Magery as a weapon, I should just
stick to what I know best (I think you held out a lot better than I did when
we last fought him)

One thing I do like about him and actually *kind-of* respect him for, is the
fact that he doesn't wander about with 5 blue gimps casting G-Heals on him.

Speaking of which, have you met Clerique? I logged on the other day to find
some red inside the guildhouse looting my guildmasters secondary character's
corpse. suited up and took a couple of swings at her with a magic axe and
she recalled out. recalled back about five minutes later and faced the wrath
of my axe, (if you're reading this Clerique, how much HP did you recall on,
was it 1 or 2? Oh, and a bit of advice, practice your magery a little, if
you're planning on taking on anyone other than newbies and miners, 3 fizzled
e-bolts in a row won't get you anywhere. (and for the record, when you
recalled the second time I was sitting pretty on 94 hp :)) Anyway Azreal, my
point is that after she'd recalled for the second time, I waited around a
little more. I pre-cast recall when I saw a gate open outside the front door
and just offski'd to moonglow when I saw here walk through with the blue
healers following close behind.

About 15 hours later I thought of something I'll probably regret not doing
for the rest of my Ultima days... Oh how I wished I had hidden, blocked her
in a corner and 'i ban thee' all her blues before flamestriking/ebolting and
chopping to my hearts content :)

I'm afraid I can't respect the Sepiroth character.
It's not just that he killed me twice in one day.
On my second encounter with him he was with a 'Blue Healer' by the
name of SicKo.
So the second time I was ready for him, I wanted my revenge, but even
when I got him down on hit points he was just healed again.
I tried to recall this time, but failed :-(
Anyway, I managed to regain my Admirable status after about 30mins of
monster bashing, and the 5k worth of armour and arms were soon
replaced.
The other reason I don't like this Sepiroth character is that he
attempted to use a bug to get all the stuff from my house.
After I had died the second time, I decided to follow him around a bit
as a ghost.
He walked into my house, I was only a little way from it when I died,
so had the key on me. (why o why can't ghosts ban! :( )
We had a quick look through all the crap I had on a lockdown bookcase.
Then he passed the key to his blue buddy.
He then said to him 'Try and get into the secure chests, there was a
bug where a key holder could get into them'
As it turned out this bug didn't work, either it was just a myth or it
had been plugged, but in my opinion this doesn't matter, he still
tried to use a 'cheat' to empty my house.
Of course the GM response from my e-mail about this was 'We didn't see
him commiting this attempt'
How the hell are you supposed to get a GM to witness this kind of
thing, call one and get him to follow you all the time? :-)
I haven't met Clerique yet, but I think I'm looking forward to doing
so, he sounds like a fun character :-)

Do i understand something wrong, or to you really speak of sheepdog with
respect?

Well a week ago or so he killed me, not with a blue healer buth with 2 red
buddies
all firing e bolts on me, so they all could get a murder count.
I was able to put a bounty on sheppdog, goddess, darkeyez. All got 1 gp :-)

Not to mention i was wearing a deadrobe at this time becaused i was killed 3
min before
and geting my stuff back, at least what was left :-)

5 min later somebody resed me, and here they were again. You all know what
happens then.
Well i had nothing on my corpse and placed not even the usual 1 gp on their
head.

I came back 5 min later and resed the other 2. They are even taking runes
and clothes
from the corpses, well maybe they need the money.

And so i have no respect for them. Killing in a somewhat fair fight is ok,
but i think they
are only after newbies and 3 against 1 to get their murdercount up. If
people would refuse
to but a bounty on their head i`m sure they won`t like the game anymore,
`cause then they
ate no longer listed on the bulletinboards.

There is no way I can have respect for any red, simple as that.
People can argue until their blue in the face about not all reds are
that bad, but I disagree.
I'm very happy to see Sheepdog dead, that's the reason why I wanted to
know who had done it, that guy or gal deserves a drink :-)
I didn't have the honour of being 'Sheepdogged' one of the few? :)
I have had many fights with reds, some I won, some I lost, but it
pains me when the reds group together in three or more and then loot
the body totally, taking cloths etc.
I do agree with you strongly about the bounty board.
I never put more than 10gp when I'm killed, scrap the bounty board and
I think a lot of reds would give it up, it's only the board that gives
them any kind of 'fame'

I agree !

Was a newbie lumberjack in the woods. New char for 10 mins when 3
reds walk by and CP CP CP ! OoooOOOoooo

They loot me of bow and arrows and then laugh at wasting mana and how
cheap I was .....

Some FUN game this is so far... Wish a non PvP shard does up or some flag.

I have played for 3 weeks and have not gone 3 screens out of a town before
being PKd !

Such a big land, too bad no one can go see it all ...

My guess is you started in Moonglow. The two houses right out the South gate
are run by noto PKs, thieves, and murderers. Because of all the wandering
healers, West gate is used to practice thieving/killing healers. Use the
other two gates and you will be fine, or you could leave town.

Hi,

I had wandered into the new lands through the Vesper cemetery.
With both chars as newbies, first people I see are reds and CP CP CP
OooOooOoo ... And it is a long way to a healer in T2A.

Next time I am just going to laugh at them when the PK me and loot me
of my logs and clothes.... then follow them and bug them for the hell of it.

The Vesper graveyard T2A entrance is the passage of choice for PKs
who wish to make their way from the old lands to the new, or vice versa.
This because it's the most easily accessible of all the unguarded T2A
entrances... So you should always be very careful around there.

SP is just plain different. Ran into one of your guild mates while I was
screwing around during a dead time on other shards, Mad Bomber I think it
was.

My character had 48 or so hit points and no weapon, so thinking quick I
drank every potion I had while he was dropping the hammer. Great that you
don't have to wait between drinking cures and refresh, managed to leave him
nothing but empties. Kind of nice knowing what to expect as soon as I saw
the OGD guild title.

But I ran to a healer in the area and got rezed, slapped on a bandage I got
off a vendor and ran back. Bomber was apparently just finishing off his 2nd
or 3rd kill, but it turns out the other kills had done exactly the same as
me and ran back to attack. I think there were about 4 people on him like
rats in covetous within 2 minutes of him making an appearence. About that
time he seemed to think it was time to get out of Dodge and took off.

I didn't check, but near as I can tell no one went back to Vesper and
started begging at the bank "I just got PK'd". Everyone just slapped on
bandages and went back to slap down Bomber. Kind of refreshing, almost like
the way it is supposed to work.

Heh, well, if it's any consolation, I've eaten dirt there a number of
times myself... We usually mop up whatever unfortunate souls we find
in the area, then hang around and wait for the antis to gather in
Vesper and attack us en masse. Sometimes makes for a decent battle,
I think the DC anti crew has gotten me twice, and the the Pluggers PK
gang nailed me once as well.

It can be a rather volatile area on SP.

Heh. Mad Bomber's one of the more aggressive hunters in our guild,
and he really gets around. Does a lot of solo PKing... You're not
the only newsgroupie that's had the misfortune of meeting him. He
even almost PK'd my blue mule once. 8)

We're actually getting ready to change gears a little as a guild,
probably getting more into organized faction warfare with a bit of an
RP spin. Might even tone down the slaughter of innocents, we've been
tossing around all kinds of crazy ideas lately... We mostly just fight
other PvP guilds anyay, try to hold our turf in Shame, that sort of
thing. Only a couple of us solo PK, and when we get together as a
group we usually just hit the guilds which make a habit of hitting us.

Maybe that insipid "veteran shard" login message is finally starting to
soak into the general populace's collective consciousness.
