If you're after a small, I'm certain people on here will be looking to
help you place - there are a few 'way out places' there. And in some
cases, when the houses decay, not so way out.
You can sell your deed back - simply drag it onto to the 'broker' that
you may find in game (for example, Vesper Carpenter)
I'm thinking it's the broker anyway - at least one of the NPCs can
accept 'em anyway.

You mean *you* can't sell it back without a loss? I've broke even selling
back what I didn't need.

More housing space. =) Oh and kiss up to some rich player who is cool and
has a really huge house, castle works good. The larger guilds sometimes
have groovy larges for holding your stuff.
I think you need to play just a bit more. If you are spending 45k+ for a
house deed, then you are really not familiar enough with the game to own a
house just yet. I believe there are still some open housing spots on GL if
you look anywhere other then next to a city.
If you are spending 45k on a house deed because you have too much money,
email me and we can talk.
*or*
Find out and tell me which cities<should be two> have the lowest priced
deeds and how much they cost. We give out door prizes here.
Don't remember which one it is either, but he offers to buy it as soon as
you get close to him. You have to be careful to sell it to the right guy
though. Some NPC's will buy it, but at a reduced price.

I thought you got back the same amount you bought a deed for....
Someone placed placed a Small tower last night in Yew next to my Villa. I
believe there is space still left.
What do you mean exactly by evolve your character? I don't think housing is
needed to do it if i think what you are thinking.

Me thinks that I need to change my newsgroup name. =)
UO has been around for sometime now. Lots and lots of players have houses now.
Land is limited to space. Not much OSI can do about this. All they did was add
Trammel, but that soon filled up.
You can sell back the deed when the price changes.
Could take a day. Could take a couple of months.
Bought a tower deed 6 months ago. Before UO:R was published, tower deeds was
cheaper than I had first bought it. I cashed mine in and bought another one.
Made about 100k profit. hehe.
But best to hold the house deed. Might get lucky when you least expect it.

The reduced price is incorrect!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Fred"?
I don't think Fred had anything to do with it.

Just say "appraise" and the broker will identify himself.
It's also emptying out rather fast. Somebody snuck a stone workshop next to
my large brick into a spot where I swear a house will not fit. It was there
for a month or so, it has since decayed. So a lot of the new houses are
collapsing from neglect, which is good.
And so it starts all over again :)

Britannia is huge, so I'm pretty sure you're tired by now. Instead of
looking for LAND, look for a falling house.

You can sell the deed back with no money loss. Unlike other items, when you
sell a house deed to a real estate broker, you get the same amount you paid
for it. However, sometimes vendors run "specials" and sell deeds at a
reduced rate. And if you buy your deed at that reduced rate, and the price
goes back UP later on, you still only get the amount YOU paid for it when
you sell it to the real estate broker.

If you want a house, go to www.crosswinds.net/~dragondale/placement.html
You'll find a lot of information about house placement there.
