Well I tried the UO Thanksgiving shard
today..."Farmageddon". I didn't get to try the abyss so I
can't compare the
two but basically depending upon which town you choose to
start in you become a different animal: human, chicken,
bull, turkey, hind etc.. There were gates that changed
your stats. I started in Britain which was human went
through a gate to become a GM swordsman. The only problem
was that you started with a war fork (evil farmers) so I
killed an orc and got an ax and armor then I went to the
dungeons. Wrong had a major over spawn but deceit was kinda
fun (1st time I'ld ever been there with no PK'rs). The best
part was going to different villages and being attacked by
the groups of animals from that town. Having five hinds
attack you at once saying "die human!!" can be a little
disturbing:-)
When I finally died in the dungeon UO kept asking me if I
wanted to report all these chickens, turkeys, and hinds that
attacked me as murderers! It was fun but not thrilling-on a
scale of 1-10 I'ld give it a 6, but I'm looking forward to
seeing what UO does with Christmas!! (does rudolph ride a
sleigh pulled by 8 santas while running away from the dark
lord elves!?!)
Happy T-day,
Andy
