Hi everyone

Whats up with the stables at Brit. I play on Europa and had logged on as my
miner to move to Trammel. Anyway I get to the stables outside the city but
all the stablemen are gone.
There is just one there now. So I travel to Trammel to check there.
The same thing there. So now I cant get my horse back.
Does anyone know what is going on?

Thanks

About your horses: the old vendor has handed over all animals in his
care to his successor. Go see him to claim your horses, it worked for
me :)

20 shovels huh?

Cheack this out...

I lost 3 pack horses in britian sosarian stables....with 100 magic items
each woth at least 50 at vendors and plenty more by players...

My estimate is lost 15k if sold to npc and up to 150k sold to players with a
player vnedor in my soon to be large marble house :(

I think the GMs will eventually add more NPCs to the shops but they're
too busy answering housing questions right now. I noticed that the
mage shop out east of the Moonglow Cemetery was being overlooked by
players (presumably because none of the telepads goes to it.) I
loaded up with several hundred of each reagent there in order to
finish marking runes.

You wouldnt have got several hundred regs if it was being totally
overlooked. Oceania is a pain for this beause it really _is_
overlooked - when I go there theres usually only 10 of each reg on
the vendors.

There's several places people don't seem to think of. That shop is
'The Sorcerer's Guild' and on Atlantic/Trammel/Moonglow looks fair to
replacing Occlo. It's has more Shopkeeps than the Encyclopedia
Magicka at the moment.

For blank scrolls, Scribes (at Libraries and the Lycaeum) sell them
for 5 gold each (compared to Mages who charge 6 gold each). Some
people seem to know about that since I've found their quantity pushed
up on occasion and have had them bought out under me after I'd spent a
couple hours working their quantity up <G>. Real Estate Brokers also
sell blank scrolls for 5 gold. Healers sell Garlic and Ginseng as do
Provisioners who also sell empty bottles.

I usually have to spend about 3 hours shopping for magical supplies
because of the quantity of blank scrolls and ginseng I need:( I wish
other players *would* check these places. Sure would be less
frustrating if all I had to do was catch a respawn or 2 instead of
working the Shopkeeps up all by my lonesome.

What do you mean by "working them up"?

If you buy out a shopkeeper of an item, their next spawn of that item
increases by 9 (at least for regs). So, if you buy all 10 of a reg,
then the next spawn will be 19, buy them all and the next is 28, etc.

The best time to shop is at a busy shop, at the end of a busy period.
For example, you can find in the range of 800 or so of a reg on a vendor
at the occlo mage shop, if you shop at the end of the evening rush
period. It can take more time to find a vendor with what you need, but
getting 800 pearl in one shot makes it worthwhile.

Works for everything I'm in the habit of buying. Flour, thread,
cloth, bread, blank scrolls, spellbooks, backpacks, beeswax, empty
bottles, hay, leather, sewing kits, wood... I'm not sure about house
deeds but just about everything else works that way.

7PM shard time is pretty good too. Maybe half the amount but more
vendors in stock. I don't know why but I usually have good luck at
that time.

The stabling situation on Great Lakes is great for us miners with a little
bit of animal taming. The stables in Minoc and Britain are both full, not
sure about Skara Brae. People will just let their pack horses go wild, and
then I'll pick one up for my power hour of mining, and release it when I'm
done. I don't have to shell out 900gp for a pack horse. Tonight, I saw
four wild pack horses roaming the mountain next to Minoc. I offered to tame
them for other people for free, but no one was taking. The only problem is
they tend to be a bit tempramental.
