Playing Ultima 7 II.

Not just shepherds have a funny relationship with birds. WTF?

So, I gave up on the stair for now and went back again to try to buy
the last two spells I can get for now; Great Douse and Sleep (you
know where from you know who, if you played it, I guess).

I actually went where he should be before I went to try the stair.
He had been nowhere in sight. I thought, ok, maybe he's out walking
or so, let's come back later, thus I went looking for interesting
things to do.

I went back after that, and said mage still was nowhere in sight. I
ran around the house, and looked into every bedroom.

Maybe he's taking a walk. Let's sleep a bit.

Slept for 2h, checked, slept for 2h, checked,... For around a whole
day.

Then I stood there, clicking on the people to check their names,
though none looked likely. I saw a cat wandering around and
remembered what I'd read about what happens if you double click them
too often.

There was a chicken too, so instead of the cat I double-clicked
that. And there he was, conversation initiated with the missing
mage.

Why is he a chicken!?
