Computer Chess Tournament:

1. Socrates 4.5 (Don Dailey, 486-50)
2. Cray Blitz 3.5 (Bob Hyatt, 16 processor Cray)
3. B* Hitech 3.0 (CMU -- special hardware)
3. StarTech 3.0 (MIT -- 512 processor CM5, Hitech algorithm)
3. Zarkov 3.0 (John Stanback, hp735)
6. CM Schroeder 2.5 (Ed Shroeder, 32 Mhz ARM)
6. Kallisto 2.5 (Bart ?? (Netherlands), 486-50)
6. Now 2.5 (Mark Lefler, 486-50)
6. BP 2.5 (Bob Cullem, 486-50)
10. M-Chess 2.0 (Marty Hirsch, 486-50)
11. Bebe 1.0 (Tony Sherzer, special hardware)
12. Innovation 0.0 (Jeff Mallet , Macintosh 68040)

I will be posting all thirty games to this newsgroup sometime
tomorrow. I will use PGN (Portable Game Notation), a format approved
by the collective newsgroup readership and very soon to be supported
by the SAN Kit.

Has anyone details on the Socrates program? I have never heard of it before, but
it's results seem to be pretty impressive.
And why did Bebe perform that poorly?
