I seem to recall having seen that this book was donated by the authors
into the public domain. Does anyone know where one might find it on
the net?

Yes, that's where I got it a couple of years ago. I even e-mailed Andy
Robson at The Times (UK) to make sure it was OK, and he said it was fine.

Since it is being offered at £5.00 now, there might have been a change
of heart re the free edition. It's also nearly impossible to lock that
particular barn door now. If you really enjoy the free book, you might
want to consider a payment to the author(s) for their work and their
expertise. I bought the actual paper bound copy of this years ago,
before I could appreciate what is in it.

I agree. Respect the author and purchase it from Andy's site.

I am affronted. After downloading it but before using it, I specifically
emailed the principal author to make sure that it was legit. He replied
most courteously, affirming that indeed it was.

The electronic version was available for online purchase at the time, too.

I hope you are not affronted by my suggestion. You can have it with
the author's permission, with or without any payment, and nobody has
to know that but you. My suggestion that "'you' might want to consider
a payment" is the editorial 'you', to include myself and everyone
else. My sincerest apologies if you felt it was directed solely at
you.
