You play good old Precision, You hold:
S A K 10 9
H A 8 6
D 10 9 8 5
C A 8 7

Your 1NT = 13-15 HCP
1NT after opening 1C = 16-18 HCP.

Do treat this hand as 13-15 or 16-18?

Add an extra length point for the 14th card, that makes it worth 16 HCP.

I play precision with 15-17 nt ;Birkowitz-Manley in their book like 14-16 but say you can use any range you like: the majority where I am (northwest US ) do not use Precision and use 15-17 so why go against the field with a flat but admitingly a nice 15 (AKA and good intermediates) ;so I would open 1n even if playing 13-15 . smn

Other than the 14 cards, I open this 1NT and accept game tries. That is
why there are game tries, right?
