I have the French version of this game and have read the French rules
plus the very helpful translation into English posted on BGG. I have a
question about wolves.

It seems clear that you can place more than one wolf in a forest where
no hunter is present. One hunter then needs to be placed to cancel out
each wolf.

Similarly, it seems clear that if a hunter is placed in a forest where
there are no wolves, then no wolves can be placed as the hunter
protects the whole forest.

Here's my question. If a single wolf has been placed in a forest, then
been cancelled out by a hunter, is it permissible to place a new wolf
in that same forest?

In other words, does the hunter cancel out only the wolf he was
targeting, or does his presence now also serve to protect the whole
forest?

Thanks,
Tim.

Tim, I think we play that once the hunter gets there, no more wolves can be
played. It has been a while.

Thanks Ted,
I posted the same question on BGG and got a similar response from a guy
at Asmodee, so that seems pretty conclusive.
