I've decided to put this question in a new thread, but its related to the concept of playing BG taking into account an opponents weaknesses. I won the series, 5 to 2, and I'm wondering if those of you who followed it think it was decided by a clear skill difference or was it due mostly to luck? And what is the GNUBG assessment of luck overall (as well as skill)? I created a FIBS account and downloaded the 3D software. My username there is MontyBackgammon. I was able to connect to FIBS. On Saturday (at 2:30 PM EST), what do I need to do to get to the correct table? Or will I see a message from M. Petch, asking me to join in a 15 pt. match?

While I'm at it... Been noticing some trends lately that make me feel concerned. Perhaps the amount of cash floating around isn't big enough at the moment? Perhaps some laws are starting to bite (sending off your personal information to Neteller, Paypal etc due to EU requirements surely will scare some people off).... more »

GammonEmpire affiliate cashouts stutter

Last year GE paid out affiliate revenues promptly midmonth. This year nothing happens automatically and you have to beg for the money. Have any other GE affiliates experienced problems this year? We are starting to get fed up (and no, we *don't* want mails from every site out there offering us a *better deal*).... more »
