WSOB - Championship Shootout

Tried looking on the web over the weekend to see how things were progressing but found it almost
impossible to get any info. This:

shows the two finalists but no conclusion.

Anyone know who won or have any comments on this big payout event of $480,000? I heard that the
organiser paid for a couple of entrants into the Last 8 (is this true) in order to hopefully cover
his losses due to a lower than expected entry. Did he succeed?
