Another 1/18 chance. That's 5.555% if you are taking notes.

I know it's tough to lose when you are over 95% to win, but it happens
almost 5% of the time. If you play 20 moves a day or more, it should be
a daily occurrence and hardly worth mentioning.

I think it was just Karma. I shouldn't have redoubled to 16 when the
game was in hand and it was over already with the cube at 8. This was
the backgammon god's way of some forced humility for trying to rub it
in.

What was the position you doubled? Just because you wound up losing due
to an anti-joker doesn't mean that the cube was incorrect.

My question is how did the cube get to 16 in a 7 point match??

I always thought that after the cube got higher than what's needed to win the match (i.e. 8 in this case), the bot didn't allow further cube actions... Is this not true, then?

I guess there is the possibility that the opponent can drop by sheer mistake. So, would the bot redouble if it owned the cube at 8? Or, why wouldn't the bot redouble to 32 for the same reason??
