James Bond.

The new James Bond movie, "Skyfall" is getting huge ratings, apparent
from reviews, with the movie-opening in Europe being on an earlier date
than in the United States.

Rated at 81% ("Casino Royale" is rated 79%) on IMDB and the peanut
gallery on Rotten Tomatoes is gong nuts!

Hard to believe that "Skyfall" has outdone "Casino Royal," but get this!
the villain is Javier Bardem....that's Anton! holly crap!

Here's the best James Bond movie opening sequence, imo. Feel free to
post your own favorites, but I don't want you douchebags using my
threads for retard-banter.

i saw skyfall and was disappointed. the kitsch was gone, the plot screwy,
and the movie was too long.

Yep. The buzz was really high and I was expecting a lot from this movie,
but I thought Casino Royale was better. Way too long, although Bardem was a
good bad guy.

I saw it. From reviews I was expecting a film up there with some other
great Bond films like Goldfinger or
For Your Eyes Only. Skyfall was better than the last two Bond films (Royal
and Solace) and better than some of Brosnan's Bonds, but I don't consider
Skyfall one of the best. The vilian was OK though. New Q seemed stupid.

That's pretty high praise, those weren't bad.

bardem was great, but he didn't appear until late. the pennywise love
interest was marginal (the half asian girl was gorgeous). you could tell
they spent a fuckload making the movie, all the sets and scenes were
beautiful, but the plot was spotty. bardem timed his run through the
tunnels perfectly with two train lines. the girl carried an uzi but
couldn't get away from three thugs with no weapons. and on and on.

Humm, not exactly rave reviews, here, for a movie so highly rated on the
movie sites.

But then, Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" is rated in the
80s%, and I thought it was a real dud.

We'll see if Quentin can make a comeback with the western: "Django
Unchained," that's due-out on Christmas day.
