I met Tuna in 1979 , at the opening of the HaroldClub Poker Room . the
room was located right under the escalators at one end of the casino . he
was friends with a guy named Kevin and a guy named Joey Federowski. I
remember his infatuation with becky ( cant rememeber her last name ) , who
later married Ali. Ali and Seattle Slew were partners in the old days .
Tuna later married another "red head " who actually resembled becky in
some fashion .

i was walking throught the poker room , young and full of piss and vinegar
and Tuna was sitting at an empty table . As I passed i said "no game "?
and he said he and I could play

if you knew Tuna , you know that he never wore 20 dollars worth of clothes
he always wore a T-shirt , and not a good one at that . I sad "I doubt
you could play high enough ".

He proceeded to pull out more "mallards" than anyone I had ever seen ,
prior to that . I was impressed.

Tuna dabbled in many ventures including putting out "juice" money
(loansharking) as well as financing a highly succesful slot team many
years ago.

he didnt take losing a ot very well , no matter what limit or N/L. I saw
him threaten to Kill Gary brent one day .. kinda wish he had .

His mother used to play at the old sahara in downtown reno . When you sdaw
the 2 of them , there was absolutely no doubt they were related . She had
the same exact glasses that he wore to fight his eye condition .

I fondly miss him.

Quite a character
