The ACLU was FOUNDED by communists, is controlled by communists, and
continues to promote that agenda.
Here are three of its founders: Roger Baldwin, Norman Thomas, William
Z Foster.
Roger Baldwin:
"We are for Socialism, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the
state itself. We seek the social ownership of property, the abolition
of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce
wealth. Communism is the goal."
Norman Thomas:
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under
the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist
program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever
knowing how it happened.”
William Z Foster: (Chairman of Communist Party USA)
"The establishment of an American Soviet government will involve the
confiscation of large landed estates in town and country, and also,
the whole body to forests, mineral deposits, lakes, rivers and so on."
He was the author of Toward Soviet America.

What do you mean "even the ACLU"? The ACLU has relentlessly criticized
Obama's war on whisteblowers and journalists.
The ACLU does a great deal of good. Sure, they go off into left field
sometimes, and it's a shame IMO that they won't defend the Second
Amendment, but overall we are a better country because of their
activities.
