Google's servers are on the futz. No posts made to Google Groups have
gotten out for the past few days.

None that I'm aware of. But apparently ALL of the slackers who work at

Tried them all. Google Groups is the best. Recgroups posts aren't
showing up on Google Groups or the Eternal September news servers.

What we should do is, post in Duplicate!

People posting on Google Groups should also make the same post on
Recgroups and vica versa.

There was a point when their service was out an irritating amount of time,
so I went elsewhere. My ES account's still active, though.

Good to know.

Maybe this is just Google's latest attempt to kill Usenet (the first being
how they bought the Deja archives in the first place).

I am posting from Google Groups with this post. Your post, Bill, did
NOT appear on the giganews server.

This has never happened before. I do not like Google Groups, but it
may be the only game in town soon.

Currently, there's a new Google Groups and an old Google Groups. You can use either one, for now, but the new one is in beta testing and the old one will be phased out when the new Google Groups development is completed.

Bottom line, Google Groups was probably down (both of them) due to the above situation.

Yes, I know that. I am currently viewing RGP with Google Groups,
Recgroups, and Outlook Express using Eternal September. Posts from
Recgroups are not showing up in Google Groups or the Eternal September
news servers. Posts on the ES news servers are not showing up in
Recgroups. The posts on the ES news servers are also showing up in
Google Groups. Posts from Google Groups are only showing up in Google
Groups.

So Recgroups is completely cut off. While Google Groups is cut off
except it can see ES news server posts. People posting directlly to
usenet using news readers are almost as bad off. They cannot see
posts from Recgroups or Google Groups, but their posts can be seen on
Google Groups.

> This has never happened before.

Yes it has, but the last time Recgroups was functioning normally. The
only problem was that you could only see Google Groups posts within
Google Groups.

I think it's pretty fucking cool. 2+2 has been shut down for weeks.
RGP is a cesspool of maggotry and faggotry. The best thing that could
happen to RGP is for it to cease to exist.

Another thing that's good to know is that William Coleman is utterly
dependent on Google for Usenet access. I told him many times in the past to
dump Google and why, but did he listen to me? For a short period, we are an
insanity free zone.

LOL. Obsessed much? The first three posts from you that get through

I post directly to Usenet, and I can now see posts from Google Groups.
Yesterday, I couldn't.
