her voice sounds like fingernails on a blackboard. besides, methinks you
are greatly exagerating the situation. "hate" is way too strong of a word.
how about "annoying"? i dont hate her, i just find her annoying. she's
got kind of a smugness about her.

I don't "hate" her. I think it's scary that somebody that unqualified
got that close to the presidency, but I don't "hate" her. I think that
most of what you're reading as hate is just ridicule. We think she's
a fool, and we think she's funny. "What publications do you read?"
"All of 'em!" Man, that still cracks me up.
You don't hate Joe Biden, but you make fun of him when he puts his
foot in his mouth, right? It's sort of like that.
- Bob T.
Liberals don't hate her. At first they were amused, a hillbilly prom
queen with her down home philosphy was great entertainment. Then she
started in with her religous views, now she was getting scarry -- here
she was a community college graduate who could be a doddering old
man's heartbeat away from being the POTUS. A mavericky one at that.
And it wasn't so much Ms Palin that was frightening, it was supporters
that were making thinking people concerned.

I don't hate her. Not someone I would want to hang out with, but I
don't hate her. What is most disconcerting about her is that large
numbers of so-called "conservatives" seem to like her (as in, willing
to put her in charge of important stuff like her). That is beyond
dangerous. In case you haven't noticed, she is a bit of an airhead.
I agree, it's not hate, it's fear. Not that kind of fear.... It's an
uprise over fearing that there are enough uninformed people in America
to actually vote her into the presidency. Now that's scary. Happened
in 2004 actually.
Would you cast your vote for Sarah Palin to become the President of
the United States of America?
Ancient Roman society understood the importance of family values as a
source of great strength in the survival as a successful civilization.
This is what the left-wing fears and hates.
They want a weak United States in order to, abuse, ruin and control it.
Those of the left wing aren't just called communists, they -are-

Total bullshit. Change the channel.
When she ran for VP they sent 30+ reporters and investigators

Which all of the media had done for all of the other candidates over a
period of several months or years. With her, it was a blank page. Gotcha
journalism os the standard now, why should she get a pass.

So what? It is a private company, and accusing the AP of being liberal
redefines the term.

Well, from here it sends me quickly to the remote control. Reruns of
Rockford Files are way more interesting than this clusterF.
It's pretty clear that she was woefully underqualified to hold
the national office that she was running for.
Sending 30+ reporters and investigators is SOP for any relative
unknown who is nominated for high public office, and I don't
find that the least bit unreasonable. The same thing would have
happened if the Democrats had nominated a one-term governor from
a small state-- Geraldine Ferraro is a good example.

Hate? Hate is something conservatives had/have for Bill Clinton.
Liberals dislike of Palin will never match the true hate conservatives show

Palin - she looks like she would make a nice wife (nice looking,

Making fun is a sometimes a good strategy ... I have found that in court, a
male lawyer making fun of a woman on the stand seldom scores any positive
points ... in politics, the same might come across as petty and mean
spirited. There is still a bit of a double standard with men making jokes
about women ... crude ones ... like hogs and heifers and stuff like that.
And if that wasnt bad enough , there are a group of guys wearing

When she is done dancing , she asks the guys if she is sexy , and for some
reason , they are hyponotized into saying "yes" (23 %), while the rest of
the guys in the bar are throwing up!!
It isnt "HATE" ..it is amazement that anyone could be so stupid as to
think she deserves to be in any position in the government .
OH OHH WAIT .. she WAS in government? ... and she QUIT??

And what are YOU talking about, numbskull? I'm telling it exactly how it

there could never be another holocaust because people are nicer now than
they were in 1939. What the fuck are you talking about, "beneath me"? What
is beneath YOU? Anything? Correct me if I am wrong, but it SAYS "death
panels" in the legislation. I don't have to listen to Sarah Palin to know
that. A few years ago I watched in horror as they tortured Terri Shiavo to
death in the cruelest of ways by starving her for TWO FUCKING WEEKS, in
front of the whole nation, with the fucking government approving of all of
it. And you don't think we could see death panels? Huh, numb nuts? I'll

The Roman father had the power of life and death over his children

because of the slave's lack of consent, not because the slave had any

After another 3 years of watching Obowma fumble, bumble and stumble

Just think of his latest bright idea.
They are going to bring a whole passel of Terrorists into New York

That media circus is going to make the OJ trial seem like a case of

>Better than the
>Shriners, but pretty cheap on the hookers.
like you charge in the first place, shriners or whoever would be that
drunk.
Cheap on the hookers?
I don't think so.
Jihadis get a special dispensation when their on their way to a
suicide mission.
They get to sample the pleasures of the flesh before they go.
Don't you remember all the reports of the 911 hijackers at strip
clubs?
You don't think they spent all their time just looking and copping a
feel once in a while, do you?
The strippers couldn't very well admit that they did a little business
off the books, could they?
Damn, are you ever naive.
Nothing like that intense unbridled hatred?
They can't know much about American politics (Or, much more likely, they're
lying).
Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton (and yes, it probably WAS as Gore Vidal
suggests because Hamilton had gone around hinting that Burr had boinked his
own daughter, subsequently lost at sea). Now THAT is hatred. And then
Jefferson had Burr tried for treason something like half a dozen times--on
evidence so thin that he couldn't get a conviction once.
Of course Rep. Preston Brooks famously brained Sen Charles Sumner with a
walking stick on the floor of The Senate (while a companion covered the
other senators with a gun) over a personal insult to his uncle.
More recently, you might read some coverage of Eleanor Roosevelt in
Republican newspapers.
And how do you feel about the Clintons, by the way?
As Tom Lehrer put it in a song [hatred:} "It's American as apple pie"
We don't. The right seems to have an unexplainable need to believe we do.
If we have hatred for anyone about it, it's for the people who hate America
enough to want to put an airheaded hood ornament like her in charge of it.

KSM was arrested in Pakistan and is an enemy combatant. Moussaoui was
arrested in Minnesota.
Obama's decision to try these muslim terrorists in NYC is not only
unnecessary but incredibly stupid. KSM already plead guilty in a military
hearing and was set to be tried in a military tribunal. Obama is handing
muslim terrorists the greatest full color, prime time recruiting tool they

share that larceny with the rest of the country.
How about if each state does that? The State of Washington could charge the
lumber companies and give it to just Washington residents (starting at a
certain date). Nevada could open the nuke waste storage and charge each
state that sends it's nuke waste and we residents could collect.
We could change to the Un-United States of America.

Sure they would-- they're just trying to pick a fight. It
doesn't bother me, really, since I just keep my end of the

Clinton was a real, live President making decisions that affected all
of us.
Palin is only one among many out-of-office Repos (albeit the most
prominent) who are only possible contenders for 2012.
Even at that, she is a longshot among the other contenders.
The question still stands.
Why are the Libs and the MSM carrying on such a sustained attack on
her?
The BDS phenomena is easy to understand.
The ODS phenomena is easy to understand.
The PDS phenomena is something else again.
Of course I have my very own explanation, which is roundly denied by
the Libs and Progressives.

Because she is posturing for a future run at office, has quit her job in
Alaska, and has endeavored to make some political hay in the Lower 48 (as
she calls it in her book) by her book and book tour. You act like poor
little Sarah is still just toiling away up in Alaska minding her own
business and "the Libs and the MSM" just decided to launch a gratuitous
attack on her. She's putting herself in the public's political eye and is
thus fair game.

Sarah Palin is so hot. I would love to do her. I have posted the

I think the Republicans should have a Palin/Bachmann ticket in 2012.
You know, Michele Bachmann, that nutcase Republican congresslady? I

I think it would be one hell of a ticket. Surely Sarah and Michele

I'm pointing out that those who think they're so smart are not actually so
smart. I'd bet good money that if you yourself were in charge, just you

HB
<...>

You've been telling people that your whole life, haven't you?
Jim
Yes.
HB
The desperation of the Republicans is evident in their hopeless and
helplessness. They screwed up when they had control; theyve admitted as
much. Now that Bush has left and returned to seclusion and dark lord Cheney
has slunk off into the shadows, the GOP is rudderless. They dont even
listen to McCain let alone Sarah and he was their presidential choice.
All they have to cling to is the echo of cheering they received when they
picked Sarah from the far reaches of our country. Thats all they have and
it sure aint much.
So theyve picked her up like a rag doll, point to her and say, Why do you
hate her? Knowing full well its not hate. Her party wasnt wanted; she
wasnt qualified and she wasnt voted for. We didnt hate McCain. We thought
Bush was stupid and inept. Its not hate of Sarah; its ridicule for holding
her up out of desperation.
Try again.

Sure, because I'd be a benevolent dictator. The most efficient form
of government. Of course, we all know the obvious problem with any
form of dictatorship.
>And, the horror, she'd probably do better also because it
>can hardly be worse, imo.
In her case, she certainly could be worse.
Just a response to a few of the points on the many available among the
plethora of idiocy on this thread.
1) Clavey's bogusly misleading assertion that Sarah Palin appointed a
pro- abortion judge to the Alaska Supreme Court: in Alaska, the judges
considered for the state Supreme Court by the Govrnor are two nominees
picked from a list of six applicants by the 7 member panel of the Alaska
Judicial Council.
The Judge Sarah Palin chose was the lesser of evils of two nominees.
The one she didn't choose, (Judge Smith) was particularly opposite her
on specific enviromental issues. She didn't want either one of the
nominees, and Alaska conservative groups didn't like the two nominees;
however, one conservative group preferred smith as the lesser of two
evils. The eventual appointee was against the Sarah Palin backed: "girls
under 17 must have parental consent for abortion" legislation.
Governor Palin, with two liberals as the nominees, had no choice in her
appointment with regard to political disposition of the appointee; she
obviously would have appointed a conservative if she had that choice.
It is possible for a governor of Alaska to refuse both nominees and
demand that the choice be made from the entire, original 6 candidates
for the appointment; however, this is seen as controversial and may not
have aaccomplished the desired outcome in the end; also, the original
list of the six applicants may not have been of significant improvement.
.........
2) Also, with regard to Dopey Manager, who's mostly snark but all
retard, some Liberal/Democrat commentators have indeed expressed their
agreement that Sarah Palin has been unfairly attacked, especially in
the area of "sexism?.
Moron. it's the left wing media that's doing the attacking, that's the
point. Of course you're going to hear fair and balanced commentators on
FOX loudly objecting to obvious and unprecedented attacks, and not the
left wing who are doing the attacking in the first place. Is the left
wing media going to attack itself for unfairly attacking Sarah Palin?
Also, The media bent over backwards in protecting Clinton. It just
proves to demonstrate just how bad Clinton was, when they (the media)
couldn't avoid reporting on that fraction of the truth about Clinton
that they did report. He wasn't impeached because a blow job. His deals
with China or a number of any other "unreported" scandals were plenty
enough. Not to mention that he lied under oath of course.
Plus, how did the media treat Clinton while he was a candidate compared
to Sarah Palin? How about before he even announced? How about citicism
about his time as governor? You're not only a snarky idiot, but a
dishonest idiot.
3) To Will In New Haven: what could you be thinking? Many of the laws,
philosophy, and mores of society we observe today originated from
ancient Rome. The value of the family unit is one of the most important
traits in society that's been preserved.
blah, blah, blah...she doesn't believe in evolution. That's pretty much all
I need to hear.
But Travel would totally do her.
Doesn't that count for anything?
Jim
No one needs to believe in it. It happened and it is continuing to
happen. There will be no vote or poll that can change this. Having a
POTUS who thinks this is a political issue would be unfortunate but
evolution would go on.
She is smarter than many of her detractors would like to believe. She
is shrewd enough to know that being the losing nominee of a fading
party would be a good career-move for someone who would otherwise be a
nobody. If she doesn't get the nomination it would be a good sign that
the Republican Party is not willing to fade away.
