I posted earlier this week about getting a real job and tomorrow it is here. After nearly 2 years of playing exclusively online poker it has come to a crashing end.
I will be making a guaranteed $320 pot a day. Not a dollar more. Not a dollar less. No more winning $1,200 on a good day or going off for $2,000 on tilt.
Also, getting up at 7am, drive in traffic, sit on a computer all day, and come home tired.
Argh.
I know in the long-term this is good. Poker just wasn't going anywhere except for barely paying the bills.

Soon you won't even notice...
It will be hard at first 4 sure as complacency is such a hard habit to shake. When that first paycheck comes in, look at it, smile and feel that power of being someone and contributing.
Well, that $320 pot a day will look a little more like $215 - $220. So, that one bad beat you take per day will be called the federal and state governments. So, instead of winning one BB per hour in the 20-40 game, you're going to have to move down a level to the 15-30 game.
