Homeland.

This season has been riveting, although I think they might have jumped
the shark last night when they let Brody go. Could that *ever* happen in
real life?

Sons of Anarchy gets an honorable mention for some really gripping (but
extremely violent) scenes this season that had my stomach turning: Tig's
daughter burned alive in a pit while he is forced to watch, Opie being
beaten to death in a set up "prison fight," and the club's home invasion
and murders of the prison guard and his wife. Good stuff.

Walking Dead. Hands down, best show ever.

something lighter like modern family or parks and rec. giving the emmy to
the guy who plays the flaming gay is typical hollywood -- phil dunphy's
the best by miles. parks and rec towing a lefty line but ron swanson's
worth the nonsense.

Yup.

To a liberal, 'Need' means wanting someone else's money. 'Greed' means
wanting to keep your own money. 'Compassion' is when a politician arranges
the transfer from a person who earned money to a person who didn't.

I just watched the first show. It was definitely well produced but
somehow it didn't really have me motivated to watch the second one. I
didn't dislike it, but I could take it or leave it. Does the story get
better? I guess I'm not a zombie guy, but I could see this getting old
pretty fast. I usually like more reality-based drama.

That last scene where he finally gets to Atlanta and rounds that corner
downtown to get his first glimpse of the *hoards* of zombies kind of
reminded me of the teabagger rallies I've seen on youtube -- except with
a little more collective intelligence.

I like "Magic City" on the Starz channel.

Rated a very respectable 76% on IMDB.

The first season was in April/May, and I'm pretty sure that it's been
picked-up for another season (probably starting in April, once again).

The story drops you into circa 1959 Miami, at fabulous Fontainebleau
Hotel. The heyday of Miami. An owner who "knows people." A place in time
where Frank Sinatra might stop in to headline for a night, just as a
favor.

The limos ubiquitous, the glass-window-pool-bar chics are hot and the
cats are real, but it's the atmosphere dripping, sumptuous
cinematography that drives you on this slick, glossy ride.

I just watched the first two episodes of the new series Last Resort. Not
bad at all for a network show! It's about a US nuclear submarine crew
that goes rogue after being attacked for questioning its orders to nuke
Pakistan. It stars that black guy who played the car dealer in Men of a
Certain Age, which was a top notch show. Fantastic actor.

There is already some good character development. I think I'll be
following this one for a bit.

Reviews indicate that it's likely to be cancelled.

Oh, that's too bad. It has great scores on metacritic. I guess nobody's
watching.

Same with Men of a Certain Age. Great show, great reviews, but they
cancelled it. Freakin racists!
