I think Harvard should do a case study on this room. It is just
amazing. You can walk up to the brush and stand there for 5 minutes
and never be acknowledged. They only give comps to regulars if you
tip and beg. Every business model says this business should have
failed yet it thrived. Gambling is truly a different kind of business.

why not add the vegas night club to your business model? Outside Caesars poker
room is a little night club called Pure. Stand for an hour without
acknowledgment unless you pay cash to get into the club, and than more cash once
inside.

I understand what you are saying about the business aspect of it, but
are you more concerned with whether or not their business ought to
succeed or fail, or whether or not you get to play some poker?

If the answer is the latter, then when you are standing in front of the
brush and not being acknowledged, you could always try waving your hand
in front of his face, speaking up, and saying, "Hey Mister, could you
put me on the list for (your game of choice)?" That method seems to get
me on the list every time.

Maybe Harvard should do a case study on why some people, for whatever
reason, refuse to perform simple tasks to achieve some menial, everyday
goals, like getting someone's attention so that you can get on a list at
a poker room.
