When Boss Media started promoting, there was a sudden influx of players from
Italy, and Turkey. I'm not kiddin ya, K9Way, these have gotta be the
dumbest mutherfuckers you ever played, I kid you not.
Speaking of dumb, did I ever tell you about my move to Phoenix? This was
way before any of the casino/cardrooms there now. I think the Fort was
doing bingo or something. Actually, I still have never been to the Fort. I
left Phoenix before they did poker. Anyway, as you know, I cut my teeth in
Gardena. So when I first went to Phoenix because my friend was over there
and told me they had just started with "social" gambling in all the bars, I
went over on a fact-finding mission. I remember playing a little stud in
one of the bars, and I had like trip Aces showing in 7-stud, and they were
STILL calling. My dick got hard. lol I had never seen an environment like
this before. Two weeks later I moved there.
But I digress. Back to the online thingy, I'm not kiddin, if you see a
bunch of players with Italy or Turkey cities next to their names, get on the
list, you won't be sorry.

How would you know, you fucking retard? I still can't get over how you
checked the 4-card wheel on 6th Street. I'll never let you forget that.
Dummy!!!
My Grandpa always beat the Jew and the Italian when he played. Of all the
times i asked he lost twice.
One time was when he went to Yonkers. I think he actually went to the
track. He and his wife were born in Ireland. Jim could play cards man. He
told everyone what they had and was almost well within parameters. His
wife Nora was simply magical. We made elder Irish immigrants Gods. We
believed in them and they delivered. Not until just a few years back did i
realize just how much of a toughguy he was. He was defensive tough.
That guy could play poker although he respected Helmuth when he first won.
Back then I coulda beat Helmuth. The only people i couldnt beat were my
grandparents.
Take a group of magical Irish and give em a deck of cards.
Get this, holy cow it is all true.
I played poker with Booth and Kirkwood
Do you know those rare names in history ?
Leone Booth Lived next door to my grandparents in Long Island. Kirkwood
Married their son. Kirkwood lived a few streets over. The sound was
accross the street. Janie's father Joe, i believe. I always remember him
as mister.
He was the first old school Jewish guy i knew. He was really old to me.
Great guy. i always wished we had more time together, even then i wanted
to.
Uncle Joe married Janie Kirkwood. Joe introduced us to the best pizza
place anywhere. Joe never really had a job. He rarely played cards and he
never lost. Joe always had cash.
All the Irish guys in these tales won.
My Irish parents won.
I beat Kirkwood out of all of his cash in one pot when i was 3. I forget
his name, the Italian guy from across the street , Kirkwood and Clancy
were in a hand and they all agreed i could finish Clancy's hand. The
italian guy would have folded anyway but i think i got a few bucks outta
him.
Kirkwood got cleaned and would never play poker with me again. Nobody
really wanted to play poker with me then. You either beat a 3 year old or
get beat by a three year old. You cant win.
After shooting Lincoln, Booth went to Kirkwood's house.
Leone was awesome. I woulda lived with her if i could. Her coffee area
overlooked the water.
Maryellen the nun. Maryellen is awesome. She won when she played. Jesus is
lucky that he has such a nun. She just gets more beautiful everytime i see
her.
All the Irish people I know that play poker are good at it or do not play.
My little sister was terrible. My granfather would chase us out and fold
to her. I figured this out and won some piles. I recall once that i
shoulda just folded and it was bad. Sometimes /nana and Grandpa would play
in shifts while all the kids played.
Some kids played scrabble. They could spell F-U-L-L-H-O-U-S-E for 23
points. I could make one for 23 nickles.
At age 5, I hired the biggest kid in kindergarten to be my backup. It was
his second year in kindergarten. I didn't last to long in that
kindergarten. My dad built a new kindergarten for my little sister. Two
years later the assistant from the old school, Mrs Kennedy was now in
charge at the new location. She liked me as i did her. Another elder I
wish i knew better but made a great impact nevertheless.
Funny. We moved to Boxboro, i get booted from kindergarten and within 2
years of moving there, my dad hooked up the grammar school with a new
wing, its first kindergarten and a gymnasium. He was the building
committee chairman and did some bond deal paid for by some future revenue
thing.
They brought a Sheraton Conference Center in and it halved everyone's
taxes.
Mrs trays kicked me out of kindergarten because i escalated an issue. We
were making folded paper dolls. Gay, i know. Well she ran out of righty
scissors and bitched at me like the Puritanical witch hunter she was and
basically told me i should use my left hand anyways because i was so evil.
Green handled scissors dont work if you aren't a lefty. I couldnt use
other's scissors either. Nor could i use her long dagger ones or Mrs
Kennedy's nice silver all purpose ones.
Well.....
Mrs Trays starts reading from some fairytale book. It was like she would
be asleep. She was a big ole lady and we would move about when she read.
No kidding, this gets good here.
I grab the old bags scissors
I crawl up behind her in that pleated parachute. As she drones on and on
from that book.
I folded the pleats together and cut a few times before she came out of
her trance from the kids laffing.
That was the end of kindergarten. Mrs Kennedy smiled at me when Mrs Trays
yelled. She was so kind.
Irish people have a magic that works well with cards and little kids. Mrs
Kennedy was a sweetie. I fought with the wicked witch of the west and with
Mrs Kennedy it was like Glenda the good witch.
It's funny how looking back when i put this in a timeline it kinda looks
like since i messed up the kindergarten for my family, dad hadda figure
out how to prevent my siblings from future troubles.
Mr Lahar was principle. Henry was an awesome guy. Every kid loved the
principle. All of us did.
The janitor was a good guy. His son became police chief the next town
over. I volunteered to help George by doing all my schoolwork early and
boy did that help out down the road. Wow.
Learn that lesson kids. I wouldn't know what a computer is if i didnt help
out the older guy. George taught me a lot and saved my ass. George was a
grandfather to everyone in our school.
Morals here are Irish people are better than avg cardplayers and do good
things. I enjoyed helping someone and years later his kid is chief where i
am in trouble. At the time his kid was fixing his first car and feeding
farm animals after school.
Mrs Trays was probably a fine woman. She and i clashed some you could say.
She was retiring anyway. My little sister had Mrs Kennedy as a teacher,
not as an assistant. Mrs Kennedy was never mad at me for some reason. I
never gave her a reason either. I was 5 and i wasn't about to take any
crap from some old lady. She was on my case and i made dolls out of her
skirt/dress/chinesedragon-sized tube.
peace
