How has a show that has had SOOOO many horrible shows or so many horrible
seasons made it this far.

This show prolly averages about 75 HORRIBLE minutes in almost every show
yet survives .. ??

Dont get me wrong .. it has had some HUUUGE moments and some amazing cast
members but on the other hand it has had decades of horribleness. Shit you
simply CANNOT watch

go figure

I know the 2 billion is an inflated number, but no one has come up
with a figure that is accurate.

Alim acknowleding that he is full of shit

Totally agree. I can usually make it to Update, but sometimes not even
then. The opening skit is usually a political parody and good, Update has
its moments, but everything else is uniformly weak. Like last week, the
digital short about the laser cats. WTF? How does such childishness make
it on that show?

But then they will have some digital shorts like the one where Natalie
Portman rapped. That was great.

Time slot, and it's profitable. What other fucking metric matters?

Used to be a great show back in the day.

Haven't watched it in years. Every once in awhile there is a good bit that makes it to the news.

It's been up and down over the years. The original cast was great.
The Dana Carvey/Phil Hartman years were another peak. Haven't really
watched it since then.

DVR is your friend. I record it, watch the good parts (usually only the
opening and parts of Weekend Update) and fast-forward through all of the
crap. Takes about ten to fifteen minutes.

Those years were great. A lot of the Will Ferrell years were great too.
The great thing about SNL is you can dvr it, and then FF through the
crappy moments and catch the great ones. I'm sick of them having totally
crappy bands on. Who the fuck are the Scissor Sisters, and why do I keep
seeing them on SNL? They totally suck.

How do you know which moments are crappy if you FF through them?
