To Stan & Randall and staff of Stratosphere poker room.
My most humble regrets.
I am fortunate to know both of you and wish you the best.
I heard nothing but great things about the room from word of mouth and
right here on this NG from Day 1.

Best of luck to you and yours. Randy(swing shift manager), come down and
talk to Pete.
And to Stan(card room manager), I hope you can get back at Horseshoe
until someone else gives you a chance to start over doing a great
service to the poker world in Vegas. Your "no limit" action will truly
be missed by most players that gave you action.

Stan, as you know you had an uphill climb. You did a great job trying to
make a go of it.

I agree with Razzo and send my best wishes along. They were very nice to us
Bargers last year at the Pre-Barge tourney. I have known Randy for many years
now since he moved to Vegas. He has always been a good friend and I hope some
other room needs his services. He really brought a poker players mentality to
the Strat room.

I also want to convey my best wishes to Stanley Baker and Randy Refeld from the
Statosphere. In no way were my earlier comments about the Strat ("buring to
the ground") intended to convey ill-feelings toward the staff -- which has
always been exceptional in terms of promoting poker, particularly higher limit
action and daily tournaments.

Regretfully, this is yet another example of upper management failing to look at
the big picture (re. MGM Gand, Beau Rivage, and others). I wish the best to
these employees who gave poker players an excellent product in the face of so
much adversity and so little supprt from their superiors.

Now, anyone want to set an Over/Under on the next time the Statsophere
corporate stiffs will be in bankruptcy? I'll take the Under.

Truely a bummer. Great tournaments, great action. It will definitely
be missed.

I echo the sentiments of the others. I have know Stan Baker for 20 years and he
is the nuts. Stan, wherever you land, your new place of employment will be the
one to benefit. Good luck.

Now if we could just get Stan online so he could read these posts! Best of luck
to everyone who was at the Stratosphere! Another one bites the dust, now THAT
bites!

I am sure that Randy has seen the posts. I will e-mail him just in case he has
missed them.

Yeah, but it is Stan you gotta get online! Hope life is good Mitch. I am on my
way to Florida for the upcoming Card Player Cruises poker adventure, when are
you going to going to join us on one?

I met Stan last time I was in Vegas. He was very friendly and answered my
newbie questions. I was going to try my luck at the no limit tourney, but
wasn't able to. I had planned on going this year. I guess another casino
will get my girlfriend's slot/craps action while I'm playing poker.

I wish casinos would look at the players they are turning away by closing
their poker rooms. Especially popular ones like the Strat. Oh well.
