Recgroups cut it off when it was still 3 handed, but I saw enough to
comment. When you had the near 4:1 chip lead, you need to push that stack
around. Open limping 3 handed as the chip leader should be outlawed. Any
hand you are ready to play at that point you should be coming in with a
raise. Same for the SB. Same for when you're on the BB and the SB calls.
Raise him off his hand.
You should have been able to end the tourney 3 handed. Instead what I
imagine happened is you let one of the other guys chip up just enough to
be a threat headsup.

Pretty much a tourney strategy issue with PL or NL games. I assume limit
as well but I'm not a limit player so I wouldn't know as much.
The first time I played KC Lowball (2-7 lowball, 1 draw, NL), my only
experience in the game was watching the ESPN streaming episode of it from
a few years back at the WSOP. Well, that and listening to Kunt of the Off
Douche go on and on about how it's the best game in the world, but that
doesn't really count. Anyway, I just used the things I knew, which was
how to use chips to push around and use position. I ended up getting
headsup vs. the slowest calling station in the world and just moved in
every hand, but it was still an accomplishment I think. It didn't have
anything to do with how to play the game, but rather using chips and
position to push people around.
With the 4:1 chip lead xyious had, open limping on the button was a sin.

unless someone plays back at you *often* you should keep stealing.

When you have 250k and a 48k stack raises in PLO8, you should just put him
all-in with any 4. When you have 250k and there's 2 60k stacks and you
are going to play a hand from the button, raise with it. If you aren't
going to raise, just fold. There are no calling hands in that situation
unless you're trying some elaborate trap (that likely won't work in the
first place).

you're right. suppose i still have some serious leaks in PLO8, especially
short handed. in nlhe i'm likely raising every single hand with those
stacks, not really sure myself why i don't in plo8.
