That's a stupid and ignorant statement in itself, as I have come to

A magazine attaches to the gun or rifle in some manner and contains a
certain number of cartridges. The gun or rifle mechanism feeds the
cartridges directly from the magazine into the chamber and the cartridge
shell is automatically ejected. When all the cartridges have been expended
the magazine can be detached and reloaded.

A clip, on an M-1 Garand for example, is a more limited cartridge holder
that is loaded into the rifle and when all the cartridges are expended the
clip itself is automatically ejected and discarded. You then insert
another clip into the rifle.

There are also "stripper" clips. It is a long metal clip that holds the
cartridges by the back end. The loaded clip is inserted into a magazine.
You then hold the cartridges down and pull the clip out, leaving the
cartridges in the magazine. It's a faster way to load a magazine than one
cartridge at a time.

Least Educated States (% with bachelor's degree or higher)

1) West Virginia (17.1%)

2) Arkansas (18.8%)

She had a long editorial in this morning's Denver Post, trying to brush
off her ignorance of firearms and extolling her "common sense" approach
to gun control. That approach being the usual ignorant panaceas that
give voters an appearance of "doing something" while having little
effect on the violence problems. But these are the people we keep
voting into office.

We have met the enemy and they are us.

It's talking out of both sides of your mouth to say that the educational
attainment of sothern states reflects low IQ and then start hopping around
screaming "racism" when someone mentions that the averages are brought
down a lot by a particular racial group. You are, in fact, the one who is
saying that racial group has a low IQ. That's especially insulting when
coming from someone like you who is a citizen of a racially exclusionary
country like Canada.

According to risky the "averages are brought down a lot by a
particular racial group." i.e. blacks.

And looking at the figures mo linked for population, blacks are very
much a minority in some of those states (highest ~ 37%, lowest ~ 14%).

So that's a whole lot of weight you're putting on their shoulders for
bringing the "average down a lot".

So I was curious what data you were using. Of course, you weren't
using any data, except for your own prejudice.

So you think educational attainment of blacks in America is the same as
whites? That doesn't fit in well with your butt buddy's assertion that it
isn't because of racism. He also says that educational attainment is a
corrollary for IQ, i.e., he is saying that blacks have a low IQ. Why don't
you two get your heads together (maybe it'll equate to one whole brain)
and decide exactly what you ARE saying.

I don't know why you keep on trying to bring me into this but I
believe he said that education could be used as a metric for
intelligence which I think is fair enough. Institutional racism I
believe he blamed for a lack of achievement, not intelligence.

Jerry, the woman thinks that the "magazine" that she wishes to ban from
being manufactured in the future are thrown away after they are used.
She thinks that the 40 million magazines currently in existence will be

My mother's family has lived in rural Mississippi for generations, and I've
spent plenty of time in their communities. The metro areas like Atlanta are
fairly progressed, but you get an hour or so outside them, Tim's observation
is spot on.

So, let's see if I got this:

White voters are racist if they vote proportionally more for the white
candidate?

Black voters are not racist if they vote 90% or more for the black
candidate?

Is that right?

1. Maryland is #4 on your list. It also exceeds the national average on
benchmark scores
(cf. http://www.act.org/newsroom/data/2012/pdf/profile/Maryland.pdf)
2. In addition to the comment I made before, note that Texas leads the nation
in repeat teenage pregnancy.

Where did I mention racism? Right, I didn't. However, I just read about the
Georgia school district which has separate proms for white and black students
and the policies are enforced by the police. This is in 2013?
