Even the ACLU is questioning this move. Eric Holder is out of control

The Justice Department (DOJ) sought a warrant in 2010 to inspect the
private emails of Fox News correspondent James Rosen, according to court
documents obtained by the Washington Post and unveiled on Monday. The
department calls Rosen an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator to the
leaking of classified materials, in its application for a search warrant,
which was approved by a U.S. magistrate judge in May 2010.

The revelation that the DOJ would classify a journalist as an un-indicted
co-conspirator under the 1917 Espionage Act is even a bigger deal than
the departments seizure of Associated Press phone records, said Ben
Wizner, director of the ACLUs Speech, Privacy and Technology Project.

What do you mean "even the ACLU"? The ACLU has relentlessly criticized
Obama's war on whisteblowers and journalists.

The ACLU does a great deal of good. Sure, they go off into left field
sometimes, and it's a shame IMO that they won't defend the Second
Amendment, but overall we are a better country because of their activities.

I didn't know that. I don't much about them. I thought they mainly
supported left issues.

Other than that, what did you think of the article?

This has nothing to do with the ACLU (partly supported by me); but goes to the whiners and criers that first bitched about throwing a wide net over the press - now cries about targeting individuals in the press. You're weak mind is easily impressed.

You admit you chastise the ACLU without knowing a thing about them other than your right-wing gods - Fox & Limbaugh et al - told you they were lefties? See why you're considered duped and simply a target for right wing propaganda?

You hear a lot of grandstanding by the Left claiming that they are the
only ones fighting for civil rights, but most Constitutional rights
issues are not truly left/right issues. The ACLU does pick-and-choose
which of the Bill of Rights they defend. But they clearly take on 1st,
4tha and 5th amendment issues even when it angers some of their Liberal
supporters. Such as their famous defense of the right of the Nazis to
have a parade in Skokie, Illinois.

> Other than that, what did you think of the article?

I think the ACLU is right in this case. It's a shame so many of the
"Champions of human rights" here won't face the fact that the Obama
Administration has been more aggressively infringing on them than the
previous Administration. It all comes down to power in the end.

You can probably guess I agree with it. Obama's attacks attacks against
the free flow of information (indirectly by persecuting whistleblowers,
and now with these direct journalist attacks) is truly frightening.

So the reason you didn't reply was that you agree with the article?

We won't think any less of you if you disagree with Holder and Jerry.

I didn't reply because I didn't feel like replying. I feel no compulsion to
comment on every issue in every thread.

But don't let that stop you from coming up with your own make-believe
reasons. Some people need to create stories to fill their ignorance holes.

We understand. It would be a daunting task indeed, given that you
have replied to the following newsgroups recently:

The NRA is there to do that. The ACLU is needed in areas that are less
popular.

It's not about 'free flow of information,' but about breaches of security. It's your ignorance, and that you're allowed to vote, that's frightening.

I'm happy to report that Art Bell is alive and well, living in Manila
with his young wife and young child.
He does come back every once in a while to do a guest spot on George
Noory's Coast to Coast show.

I always liked Art.
He had this wonderful ability to listen to somebody spouting the
dumbest shit you ever heard, and just go right along with it without
calling bullshit on the guy.

No. It's that while your stupidity once used to be amusing, now it is
simply boring and predictable. You make Chris Matthews look like a
Libertarian.

See how well you made my point? Then you top it off with your unexplainably stupid tag line. Here, I'll embarrass you about that, too:

Dave the Clueless makes up a position for me by renaming me; then makes up a position about what he thinks I'm thinking about someone I don't know; then he argues the name he made up and argues against what he thinks I think. Then this moron calls me a moron. Clueless can't really embarrass himself any better than this. This wins; even over the fact this revelation also embarrasses him. What a three-time loser.

Now be quick and tell everybody to kill-file me so they don't see you made a fool of again.
