Consider yourself warned, left or right, she's fairly consistent in
pissing off both sides.

Get 'em Camille! Snipped:
--------
"As for the actual content of the House healthcare bill, horrors!
Where to begin? That there are serious deficiencies and injustices in
the U.S. healthcare system has been obvious for decades. To bring the
poor and vulnerable into the fold has been a high ideal and an urgent
goal for most Democrats. But this rigid, intrusive and grotesquely
expensive bill is a nightmare. Holy Hygeia, why can't my fellow
Democrats see that the creation of another huge, inefficient federal
bureaucracy would slow and disrupt the delivery of basic healthcare
and subject us all to a labyrinthine mass of incompetent,
unaccountable petty dictators? Massively expanding the number of
healthcare consumers without making due provision for the production
of more healthcare providers means that we're hurtling toward a
staggering logjam of de facto rationing. Steel yourself for the
deafening screams from the careerist professional class of limousine
liberals when they get stranded for hours in the jammed, jostling
anterooms of doctors' offices. They'll probably try to hire Caribbean
nannies as ringers to do the waiting for them.

A second issue souring me on this bill is its failure to include the
most common-sense clause to increase competition and drive down
prices: portability of health insurance across state lines. What
covert business interests is the Democratic leadership protecting by
stopping consumers from shopping for policies nationwide? Finally, no
healthcare bill is worth the paper it's printed on when the authors
ostentatiously exempt themselves from its rules. The solipsistic
members of Congress want us peons to be ground up in the communal
machine, while they themselves gambol on in the flowering meadow of
their own lavish federal health plan. Hypocrites!

And why are we even considering so gargantuan a social experiment when
the nation is struggling to emerge from a severe recession? It's as if
liberals are starry-eyed dreamers lacking the elementary ability to
project or predict the chaotic and destabilizing practical
consequences of their utopian fantasies. Republicans, on the other
hand, have basically sat on their asses about healthcare reform for
the past 20 years and have shown little interest in crafting
legislative solutions to social inequities. The usual GOP floater
about private medical savings accounts is a crock -- something that,
given the astronomical costs of major medical crises, would be utterly
unworkable for families of even average household income.

International models of socialized medicine have been developed for
nations and populations that are usually vastly smaller than our own.
There are positives and negatives in their system as in ours. So
what's the point of this trade? The plight of the uninsured (whose
number is far less than claimed) should be directly addressed without
co-opting and destroying the entire U.S. medical infrastructure.
Limited, targeted reforms can ban gouging and unfair practices and can
streamline communications now wastefully encumbered by red tape. But
insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry are not the sole
cause of mounting healthcare costs, and constantly demonizing them is
a demagogic evasion.

How dare anyone claim humane aims for this bill anyhow when its
funding is based on a slashing of Medicare by over $400 billion? The
brutal abandonment of the elderly here is unconscionable. One would
have expected a Democratic proposal to include an expansion of
Medicare, certainly not its gutting. The passive acquiescence of
liberal commentators to this vandalism simply demonstrates how
partisan ideology ultimately desensitizes the mind."

Excellent commentary. It is a shame that the extremists will only see the
"other" end of the story.

It's good to have an impartial, intelligent person like yourself around,
pickle, to tell us what others think before they think it. I'd guess that
about 70% of your posts send you further down the slippery slope of
insipidity.

Pickle slanderously accuses me of being Da Pickle No Spam which goes a
long way in accounting for my low opinion of Pickle.

Are you agreeing with his contention that anyone who disagrees with him is
"extreme"? And if I criticize that insipid pretention you consider it
"picking on him"? That's a little silly.

I noticed you seem to have it out for him on a level that goes a
little bit past the usual exchange of pleasantries here. I disagree
with Pickle on many things and sometimes his presentation can be
tiring, but he strikes me as a generous guy with a good heart, and not
stupid. We can all be a little insipid. Plus, he's always been
decent to me.

So he accused you of something that's pretty fucked up, and is
wrong... you're not the fake Pickle. Ahh. Ok.

Ok.

That was a good article. If left-wing Salon is writing stuff like that,
you can well imagine how pissed-off "the people" are over this health
"care" disaster and communist takeover.

Nelson dropped to 30 points behind in the Nebraska polls over his
pay-off deal, and he's not even up for reelection until 2012.

When the people of a state are up in arms over a pork deal, you know
they realize the deal stinks bad; they don't like the blatant
corruption, specifically, and Obama's "commie care" in general.

Corruption/personal scandal is consistently a top issue with Independent
voters, and that's the vote that will throw-out the Democrats.

That's probably why they're Independents, they're the "we're sick of ALL
this shit" people. Well, the shit's in the White House and in the
majority in congress this time around.

Did you know that Martha Coakley, the Democrat nominee for Ted Kenedy's
senate seat (special election, Tuesday) is only ahead of the Republican
nominee by "single numbers". Rasmussen has The Republican candidate,
Baker, only behind by 9 points. That's unbelievable. This'll be the
upset of the century if the Democrat loses in a senate race in
Masachusetts.

You're annoying. I don't think many would dispute that, probably
including yourself? That is your comfort level, and you seem to feed
off of it and take some amount of satisfaction from it. A more
appropriate name would be Eddie Haskall. So be it.

And you misinterpreted my statement, which was simply saying that
being falsely accused is fucked up, I understand your irritation.

I am certainly not positive that the fake pickle is actually risky. He
certainly fits the bill.

Someone said they did the "search" and concluded it was he ... I do not know
how to do that sort of thing.

However, he acts the part. I never did anything to him but he seems to have
a "thing" for me. If the shoe fits and all that.

It's quite a puzzle.

Personally, my first impression was that risky isn't smart enough to
pull off a semi-successful sock puppet impersonation like that.

I might have been mislead by my original impression of risky as a
Dumshit.

He does however demonstrate a certain basic animal cunning in his
posts.

I just can't decide.

Be careful with that Pickle. Do your homework.

I'm a nobody on this board and in the poker community, so, yeah. Hard
for me to assign values to the people here. I think you're a good
person, a friend, and I'll probably bump into you on one of your LA
trips, and maybe BARGE. Hence I wondered why he had it in for you.

Risky seems like a porcupine, he likes to keep people at a distance
and stay in attack mode, and I got no problem with that in general.
It's not even my place, as someone new here and without a history, to
get involved. But, I think it's messed up to have someone stalking
you on the forum and posting under your name. Sheeesh. Hopefully
it's not Risky and you guys can lighten up.

Take care dude.

==============================

I do not care for foul language and the back and forth "no you are" sorts of
exchanges. I sometimes fail to live up to my own standards for posting.
Sometimes, I fall into a sarchasm as well.

Risky cannot have a discussion "on the merits." There are others that seem
to have that same lack of intellectual curiosity.

Like I said, someone with better computer skills than I "said" that it was
risky and he has never provided any evidence that it is NOT he. If it
quacks like a duck and all that.

If risky would just reveal who he really is ... that would solve everything.
That he must hide from view is another point against him.

But I will resolve to lighten up with regard to risky in 2010 with the full
knowledge that he will not because he can not.

As for you, I look forward to that beer.

Why would risky want to remain anonymous? As frustrating as you are (and as

I am sure that you are an interesting person in many ways ... even though I

It may be that risky is just silly on his own and is not the imposter. The
imposter is a child and not worthy of consideration. I would like to think
that risky was a good person at heart and he is only rude and obnoxious here
"because" he can be an anonymous nobody. Perhaps it is his way of blowing

These people lead boring, mundane, lives. School to job to marriage to kids
to mowing the lawn and taking out the garbage. Their form of entertainment
and excitement is living their lives, vicariously through people like you
and me. They sat in the grandstands drinking beer and watched people like us
racing around the track. Or they sit on their couch and watch us on TV, or
read about us in the news or sporting section. We're their 'reality TV.'

They come here and make up what they never did. It's called lying. You'll
note they challenge people like you and me: "Prove it!" They're so used to
hiding behind their anonymity and lies, they expect others to be lying.

Ask who THEY are and they quietly pull their heads back in their shell and
slowly crawl off.
