thanks for the job and congratulations Orion for winning the contest.

This is my summary of the contest 2013:

1) If a constant entry wins the contest, we can forget all the other
methods
which has been used

2) Only 3 participants had better results than random selections and
only two
of them made calculations for each drawing. But the advance to
random is low.

3) The results are far away from previous contests

Even with my method which I used from draw 9 to the end,
I would have had only 558 points in summary. That is also
far away from previous results and not better than previous
pseudo random number selections.

The results signifies that we still have a hard job for finding a
method which will help to win more in the 6/49 lottery.

Hi Rich,

Thank you for running the contest for so many years now!
As always excellent information but with less entries this time.

I wish to explain as of how my winning set was compiled
since it was not completely random picks.

I used the software "LottoStatisticsXL" from this web site
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LottoDesigner/files/LottoStatistics/
You may have to subscribe to Download the file.



After loading the UK Database I used the
"Best Performing Set" option and with the following Parameters:


Start Draw Duration Set Size Categories
1776 999 20 35


The date that the challenge started the Draw ID was of 1776
I used a "Duration" of 999 draws
Set size was set to 20 since we were looking for a size of a such set.
Under Categories I used the 3to5 which means that we shall expect hits
of 3 & 4 & 5 and count such Hits.
Under the Method I selected the "Best Such Set" for the
program to display and I hit the button to run it.

My Set of 20 numbers appeared in a few seconds, in "Hits Order" and
"Numerical Order".
I used the Set in the "Hits Order" as of my entry.
