Once upon a time in a magickal land far far away the being called Radium
stirred from its deep slumber and pronounced to usenet:

: Yahoo stinks like human kakaa foam. Fuck these @$$holes.
:
: You can no longer chat on their website. You have to download and
: install messenger or other chat softwares, putting you at risk for
: viruses.
:
: Last year, you could simply use "Chat 2.0" [a non-Java web-based
: client software] on http://chat.yahoo.com, cheddar-cheese-colored
: flames until it changes color from brown/black/yellow -- or whatever
: it normally is -- to foamy white.
:
: WTF did yahoo stop using "Chat 2.0"?

why not whine at the developers of chat 2.0 to update their client to work
with the yahoo changes?

Hehehe. Back when I was doing a lot of technical rockwork (30 years and 50

As I said, that was 60 years and 50 pounds ago <g> But I still remember
what it's like to bivouac on the north face of San Jacinto. Almost 5,000
glorious feet of sheer, class 5 climb. No way in hell do you get to the top
before sunset, so you rig a cats cradle and spend the night. In the morning
you look over your shoulder and there's nothin' but about 3,000 feet of air
between you and the ground. Fire up the alcohol stove, make coffee, dig out
some hardtack, police up the rock bolts and pitons, and get rigged for up.

If you start Saturday morning you get to the top Sunday morning, and about a
5 mile hike later you're at the Palm Springs Tramway at around 1300 or so.
Just in time to meet up with the gang for lunch, ride down on the Tram, and
be home by around 1600 or so. It's a great weekend <g>
