There have been a total of five people
found murdered, within the last twenty-four
hours, in Hammond Indiana. Three were found
in a vehicle, less than three miles from
the Empress Casino. The other two were found
in a motel, in the general area of the casino.

HAMMOND -- Police discovered three gunshot victims Tuesday in the 900
block of 125th Street, a remote area bordered on both sides by George
Lake.
Two of the victims, a male and a female, were pronounced dead on the
scene. Another man was transported to St. Catherine Hospital in East
Chicago. A hospital representative said he was dead on arrival.
