Hello All
I am going to the Dali show this coming saturday afternoon
Can anyone recommend a good restaurant nearby to the art museum where I
can take my wife and in-laws on saturday evening?
Have no particular type of food in mind..
Thanks!
Dan

The museum is relatively isolated, but Philadelphia is small enough that
a cab ride isn't expensive. Here are two in the Old City --
Buddakan (Pan Asian)
Angelina (Italian)

Jack's Firehouse is a lot of fun and has very good food. Jack McDavid, formerly
of the Food Network series "Grillin' and Chillin'". Also a terrific selection of
sipping bourbons.

when we went to the Dali exhibit..the information desk sent us to a very
good but expensive place about 5 blocks away
http://www.rosetattoocafe.com/homepage.html

it was wonderful and you will need a reservation...we were able to call
from the museum...it was a Friday evening and we got a reservation but
had to be out by 8PM...ask for the garden room
we heard about another place called BuddahKahn that is nearby too and
has gotten good reviews.

about the exhibit...they do NOT have it under control at all...yes they
are timed tickets and it seems that they only let in 10 at a time...but
it gets to be about 5 deep and you cannot see anything...being in a
wheelchair only made it worse

there is a lovely restaurant in the museum that has a gourmet but
limited menu and i think you need a reservation...the menu was lovely.
and there is a cafeteria that some wonderful food for lunch. we had
roasted veggies and roasted chicken...it was very good

i hope that you have a wonderful time
peace,
tish

There's Jack's Firehouse on Fairmount Ave. You should call for
reservations though. Also in that same area is Rembrandts and London.
All are nice restaurants and an easy walk from the Art Museum.

Huh? Isolated? I don't think so. There are plenty of excellent
restaurants within walking distance of the Philly Art Museum.

Hello!

Philadelphia is a great restaurant city. Before I go to a new spot I
like to check the PhillyBlog Restaurant section where real
Philadelphians talk about real food!
