My post postprandial nap was rudely interrupted by the postal carrier
today. He was delivering a box with four jars from Minnehaha Land.
Barb sent me some of her top jams and a jar of pickle relish. Tonight we
feast. I intend to bake up some biscuits, scramble a few eggs and Miz
Anne and I will scarf some biscuits with at least three different jams
on them. One I've never tasted, cherry-rhubarb. Miz Anne says she thinks
she ate some rhubarb jelly when she was a child but doesn't remember
what it tasted like.
Thank you O' Mother Superior of HOSSPOJ, it's seldom we get gifted with
the fruits of someone's labor.
Tomorrow we harvest the sunchokes, I can taste sunchoke pickles already.
Must go get another gallon of pickling vinegar and figure out where I
put those cases of jars.
