Gyokuro Asahi
I was given a bag of Gyokuro Asahi from Holy Mountain. I am trying to determine the optimum brewing parameters. I made a couple of pots that were too strong or too bitter for me. I would like to know which of the brewing parameters (water term, amount of leaf, steep time) to change first. BTW: I have a hard time telling whether the taste that I don't like is... more »

SD tea
Has anyone here tried tea made entirely from dried salvia divinorum leaves? I tried it and it was bloody awful! There was no hallucinogenic effect but I only tried one gulp.

Green Hairpoint
Dry kitty litter smell dry; wet kitty litter smell wet. Tastes like what you would expect from the wet smell. My grandson confirmed that there's no reason to keep the rest of the sample, so this is the first tea I've actually thrown away. Toci

Question about electric kettles..
I recently got one of those steel electric kettles that have a base, on/off switch and auto shut off, it's the type with the same shape that's rebranded and sold by many different places, and I see that the manual says you have to disconnect the cable from electric socket after you're done using the kettle - what is the reason for that? It's... more »
