$123.nn, and it's a Macintosh! Preamp into 103wpc Power Amp!

Sounds better than anything you have. Into Klipsch and Bozak speakers. :-)

<YAWN> No one gives a rip about your stupid sound system.

Meanwhile, I'm off to cook dinner which I posted about separately and
gee, it has nothing to do with YOU but I guarantee will taste a hell of
a lot better than anything you cook week after week ad nauseum and is
healthy, too.

And the first LP I played on it was a 180g new copy of "Piper At The Gates of Dawn" by Pink Floyd, with Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd's FIRST guitarist:

Actually, Woolworth's is still big in Australia and some other places:

Woolworths (colloquially known in Australia as "Woolies") is an Australian chain of
supermarkets and grocery stores owned by Woolworths Group. Founded in 1924,
Woolworths today is Australia's biggest supermarket chain with a market share
of 33% as of 2019...

(sigh) You keep saying that and continue to come up with excuses. Most
recently you say they couldn't find you a job because it was the
"holidays". The last job you *claim* they found for you prior to that,
you posted you couldn't get to it because you had to spend the day at
the tire shop waiting for them to put yet another new tire on your car.
The "job" before that, the alleged clients' bus was late so you showed
up too early, waited a while then left... or some such nonsense. Why
would this agency continue to waste their time on you?

BTW, I looked it up, there are *three* Nurse Staffing/Employment
Agencies in St. Louis. I take it this one is your last resort.

IF you really wanted to find a job you would be using other means to try
to find work. Oh that's right, when you were trying to use Indeed.com
you mistook "headhunters" with actual job offers and went off on a rant
about them here. You didn't understand the function of a headhunter vs.
actually *applying for* and then getting a request for an *interview*
for a job.

I do not believe you are looking for a job. But hey, you got your silly
Preamp back. And hey, that shop probably charged you an arm and a leg,
kept it for a couple of weeks and did nothing.

Yes, I recall our resident members of Oz discussing that. I think it
turned out to be an entirely different company from Woolworth's as we

Totally unrelated, just "the name's the same"...

Woolworth's was once a staple in the UK, those are gone. When I visited in 1975, Woolie's
had pretty good record departments, I bought some records there to bring back home [ UK
record pressings were much higher quality than the junk being put out in the US... ]

Also in Germany, there are today a few hundred W's stores... they started there in the 20's, in
old pix from the 20's - 30's it is kinda wierd to see the old familiar W's store fronts on
Old World quaint German streets...

Did you forget the copper gutters? The extra car charging ports in the
garage because he expected his temporary student renters to drive
electric cars? He also took out all the window blinds and replaced them
with expensive wooden ones, as if a college student renting a cheap room
for 6 months gives a rip about the window blinds. He had that Rainbow
Tribe stained glass window installed. How much did he pay last year for
that digital camera at a local camera shop? I'm thinking at least $700.
Waaay more than Panasonic charges for the same camera.

He's like a little kid, he buys buys buys and somehow magically thinks
the money never leaves the bank.

If you've planned for the future why are you whining you're broke and sister
is not helping you?? You're a grown man, learn to plan and budget for your
bills. Best way to accomplish that is to find steady employment and not
necessarily in the field you'd like to work.

Maybe John have to sell house. Maybe sell to

Again posting here when you were supposed to be working?
What happened with this job, John?

Do tell us what happened. At least I'll be sympathetic and not joke you.
