I haven't exactly been cooking up a storm, but here are some
highlights.

The pizzas on 2/13/22 were quite good. I could have used a little more
of the tomato/caper/olive paste, but I didn't want to blast myself with
it.

My husband's hunting buddy dropped off five dozen eggs on her way out of
town on a business trip. We got the house cleaner to take a dozen, but
I'm still trying to use up eggs.

About a week ago I had a shallot/asparagus/Parmagiano-Reggiano frittata.
Pretty good, although the egg mix needed a touch of salt (the Parm-Reg
just wasn't enough).

Yesterday was a shallot/broccoli/sharp cheddar frittata. I'd intended to
also add ham, but by the time I got the broccoli chopped up, it looked
like that would be enough.

Today's lunch will be seared shrimp with some chermoula that I just
finished.

Toasted about a teaspoon each of whole cumin and coriander seeds in a
dry pan. Mashed them to a paste in the mortar and pestle with:
salt
a couple big garlic cloves
lemon juice
roughly chopped parsley and cilantro

Put it in a jar and added extra-virgin olive oil.

Can't a woman like killing innocent animals?

Sheldon thinks the only way a man and woman can be friends is to have sex.

On Friday afternoon I made a batch of ginger snaps, a batch of pizza
dough (for Saturday) and some mango avocado salsa to have with the baked
salmon fillet I had bought for supper.

Sunday I made a vegetarian pizza for supper.

For Sunday brunch I made some scrambled eggs with spinach and
Trinidadian hot sauce for brunch. For supper I spatchcocked a chicken
and seasoned it with salt and pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder and
oregano. It turned out beautifully. While it was cooking I par boiled
some carrot and baby potatoes and then roasted them in the chicken fat.
Steamed asparagus on the side and apple crisp for dessert.

After service, I'm sure a local church breakfast congregation would be happy to try out your omlet skills.

Alone on a days long hunting trip, absolutely. You'd need to prove to
me they are invalids. Perfectly healthy men and women don't go off
alone together and not have sex. I seriously doubt you know the
difference between friends and lovers. Friends can definitely also be
lovers, that's usually how relationships progress, first friends and
then lovers. It's very rare that friends of the opposite sex don't
become lovers, unless one or both are physically incompacsitated.
Anyone tells me they are spending the night alone together with
someone of the opposite sex and not having sex I call them liars.
There recently was a president of the US who didn't believe a blow job
was sex.

Sheldon, much as I like animals, we should start making the
distinction between animals and humans.

Recently? You think that was recent? That explains a lot about your
replies on RFC. There are 24 years olds roaming the earth that were
born after that happened.

I wish. I have had a lawn to mow for close to 50 years and my wife has
only mowed it once. To be more accurate, it was more like part of the
lawn. It really needed to be mowed and I had major job to take care off.
Heaven forbid she could notice that the grass was really long and the
mower was struggling and she kept stalling it, so I have to stop what I
was doing and go and start the mower for her so many times that I told
her to forget about it and left it until later.

I'm somewhere in the middle. A few days, OK,
but if it started stretching into more than a week
or more, I'd eventually have to suggest having
sex. After a few days I'd start wanting it, but I'd
be polite, but as the days stretched on I'd start
getting less than chummy. When I was young, I
still had that magic thing going about sex, but
by now I consider it a staple.

I mean, it's a moot thing anyway, because I'd
never find myself in such circumstances (and
Sheldon wouldn't either), but I get his point. I
mean, who the heck wants to go days and
days on end without having sex with another
person?

OK, I was half kidding, but only half.

Jesus mows my lawn every week or two. One member of a large lawn service
that works here. All of their employees are Mexicans.

I could pay someone to mow my lawn (as you do through your rent),
but I'd rather do it myself until I'm no longer capable of it.

I have about an acre of grass to mow and in the spring it needs mowing
at least twice a week. I have a lawn tractor with a 48" mower and I
have a set of ear protection with an AM/FM ratio and a jack. I load up
comedy podcasts and listen to them while I am mowing.
